After months of waiting the folks from Gameloft have just released the 8th installment to their classic racing franchise for mobile. That being Asphalt 8: Airborne. We saw it when Google announced the Nexus 7 followed by a slight delay, and today it's officially available for almost all Android devices. Oh, and it works amazingly well with the NVIDIA SHIELD, so we're doing our review with that device. Check out this high flying, octane-boosting game below.

Motorola DROID ULTRA Review

After Google bought Motorola we were all wondering what exactly would come out of the acquisition, and now things are starting to take shape. From a brand new direction with the Moto X, to a trio of new DROID smartphones for Verizon Wireless. It's clear Google will work with Moto for most carriers, and the DROID lineup will be all Motorola's regular doings for Verizon. Today we're taking an extended look at the new DROID ULTRA.

Huawei Ascend P6 Review

The Huawei Ascend P6 was inspired by beauty according to the Chinese company, and is currently holding the crown for the "world's thinnest smartphone" on the market coming in at just 6.18mm thin. Announced back in July we've had a few weeks to enjoy this sleek and unique device, test out the camera, and enjoy having a phone thinner than a pencil in our pocket. So read on for our full thoughts, impressions, and loads of pictures.

Moto X Review

This week we're delivering an extended stay with the Moto X, a device presented by Motorola as the current sweet spot in the center of price, usability, and customizability. This device marks a point in the history of Android where what my colleague Chris Davies calls a "Context Ecosystem" has dawned, and in it an essential dismissal of winner-take-all hardware specifications in favor of an overall best-in-class user experience.

Kyocera Hydro EDGE Smartphone Review

Kyocera began showing a pair of Hydro branded smartphones during CTIA. Those handsets included the Hydro XTRM and the Hydro EDGE and since that time in May, both handsets have come available with carriers. Read on for our thoughts on this stunning little device.

Chromecast Review: Easy to setup and easy to use, but will it stick around

Google announced the Chromecast back on July 24th and unlike some other device announcements, these became available for purchase that same day. Given a curiosity about the new platform and the low price point and Chromecast seemed like an easy purchase for many. The Chromecast dongle availability quickly dwindled and sale prices jumped on sites such as eBay. The question we have though; Will the Chromecast excitement last or will this be another quickly passing fad.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Review

Plenty of people seem to rely on their smartphone for pictures these days. The catch is, those same people are often wishing for better and better cameras on their smartphone. Samsung has the Galaxy S 4 Zoom which is not only a full smartphone, but also a rather full-featured camera. While it would appear the Galaxy S 4 Zoom would be a good fit for this group, the question remains; Will people be willing to carry a device that looks like a camera on one side and a smartphone on the other?

OUYA Game Console Review

Our living rooms and bedrooms are dominated by Microsoft and Sony with the Xbox and Playstation, but OUYA is aiming to change that. The $99 Android-powered game console fits in the palm of your hand, runs an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, and is loaded with Android games and ports to take over your gaming. Or can it? Being the most successful crowd-funded device from Kickstarter to date, we're taking a closer look at the OUYA Game Console.
