Google’s Q1 2013 earnings report tops $14 billion in revenue

It's that time of year again folks. While we have all been busy with Taxes the guys at Google have just released their Q1 earnings report for 2013 - and they had a biggie. It looks like things are following along with the end of 2012, and Google's reporting some very solid numbers and a strong start to this year. With more than $14 billion in revenue things are looking good.

HTC’s November sales numbers still in a slump, down 31 percent

The folks from HTC have been facing some increasingly stiff competition. We've been following their sales numbers for some time now, a trend that keeps getting worse and worse, and today's November sales surely don't look any better. HTC recently released an impressive flagship smartphone in the US on Verizon Wireless. The HTC DROID DNA with a first of its kind 5-inch 1080p display, but it wasn't quick enough to help out this month.

Google Play app revenue grows 17.9% while iOS shrinks

A new report from App Annie has come out, and with it, some interesting insights into the app market. The most interesting piece of information to come from the report is that while Apple may generate four times the revenue of Google Play, Play is growing at a much higher rate. In the last month, Apple's revenue has actually shrunk .7%, while Google Play has risen an astonishing 17.9% in the same period.

Qualcomm revenue tops $19 billion in 2012, $4.9bn in Q4 as smartphones surge

Today the folks from Qualcomm have posted some annual and quarterly earning reports that were quite impressive. Not only did they release their Q4 financial results, but also their entire 2012 fiscal year -- which is up 28% year-over-year actually. Google likely to have sold close to 1m Nexus 7 tablets

Here's some news that should not be very surprising: people really like the Nexus 7 tablet. At such a reasonable price, it's not surprising at all that it's selling so well. According to an analyst, the 7-inch tablet likely sold 800,000 to 1 million units in the third quarter of this year.

It's that time of the quarter again where everyone is posting up their earnings reports and going over the numbers. Google just posted theirs and today Qualcomm has announced their earnings report, showing a pretty great Q2 of 2012. These results already have plenty of sales from their new Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor for upcoming phones like the HTC One S, but with it barely hitting the streets surely Q3 will look even better.
