Samsung Galaxy Tab retailing at £599.99 say insiders

We know it’s coming, we know what it features and we are very excited about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab. However, the one thing we have yet to find out is a price for the 7-inch tablet. The company behind the UK retailers Currys, Dixons, and PC World has stated that the SIM-free, off-contract price at £599.99 ($950) Interestingly, this is more than the 16GB iPad 3G in the UK. No word yet on which carriers will be launching the device in the UK or a price point but we do know that it will be arriving in the UK starting the first of November. Expect further word on this from Samsung, or any of the carriers in the US, or overseas in the coming weeks as we get closer to the devices official launch. Samsung introduces the Corby i5500 Android 2.1

Besides releasing the highly anticipate Galaxy S all across the world, Samsung has a few other Android devices in the making. They have just introduced the Corby i5500. This is a mid-range handset that runs Android 2.1 and will be available shortly in Europe.

While we all wait for the arrival of the official Google TV, we may soon be able to get a taste of what’s to come from these 2 set-top-boxes. Both of them are capable of 3D television and should be available sometime this year. If that’s not enough good news for you, the highest one is expected to retail around $129.

Nexus One in Retail Stores?

That didn’t take long at all, the Nexus One is starting to show up at retail stores. The lack of hands on experience and seeing the device in person is a big part of the slow sales of the first “super phone”. Google stated that this device will show up in brick and mortar stores but none of thought it would happen this soon.

HDMI Dock for Sprint HTC EVO 4G

Here’s another goodies from Best Buy, there will be an HDMI dock available for the HTC EVO 4G. This dock is expected to be released by the time the EVO hits the streets. This dock will support HDMI 1.4 and should be backwards compatible. But beware, early reviews of the HDMI performance of the EVO has not been favorable. There have been some reviews in which the 108P output was only recognized as 480P.

Samsung Galaxy 5 Spotted in The Wild

Samsung has another Android device in the works, the Galaxy 5 or the GT-I5500 will be hitting the streets soon. This little device packs in Android 2.1 along with a few other features. This device hasn’t really been covered much with all the excitement around the EVO and the Galaxy S so it may be something new for most of you out there.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will never get multitouch

As more information on the X10 continues to roll in, this device is continuing its roll downhill. It appears as though the hardware is not capable of supporting multi-touch. Couple this with the high suggested retail price and the multiply delays and you have a potential flop on your hands.

myTouch Drop and Go Charging Pad

The myTouch 3G may not be the best Android phone but it is definitely the most customizable Android yet. So far there are two versions and a collector edition dubbed “Fender”. It also has the most accessories available and from the looks of this newest introduction, it will continue to have new accessories made specifically for it. Today T-Mobile announced that it will be offering an inductive charging pad called the Go Charging Pad. The charging pad will likely look similar to the one in the picture above. When you buy this pad, it will come with a special back plate that allows the phone to be charged by simply laying the phone on top of it. There a charging pad similar to this on the market now and if you have one you will feel right at home using this one. The pad will become available via T-Mobile retail stores in the coming weeks and a price has not been set. [via tmonews]
