Pebble smartwatch coming to Best Buy and it looks like they have since been confirmed. We have yet to see any official announcement from either Best Buy or Pebble, however a coming soon style listing has recently appeared on the retailers website.
LG is ready to begin a retail store expansion. The company currently has roughly 3,000 retail locations and they look to increase this by 20 percent this year. These retail shops, dubbed LG brand shops will be popping up in emerging markets to include India, the Middle East and Africa. These shops will be showing a variety of LG products including everything from smartphones and televisions to home appliances.
LG Nexus 4 has finally made it down to your part of the world. The Nexus 4 is available starting today in Brazil for those interested in picking up Google's latest and greatest flagship smartphone.
Walmart kicked off the "Scan & Go" pilot program. The initial availability was limited to just one location in Bentonville, Arkansas, however Walmart has recently announced an expansion. In short, the program will soon be available in more than 200 stores. This is up from the current count of 70.
Google will be opening up their own retail stores to compete with the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Microsoft in the real world. Reports suggested Google had multiple plans and they'd be opening retail stores before the end of 2013 for their devices, and Project Glass.
Google retail store chatter has surfaced. Last week we saw details coming from the 9to5Google blog and today we have further corroboration coming from The Wall Street Journal. Basically, the WSJ is reporting that Google "has been developing plans to launch retail stores."
Apple's stores full of glass walls and gadgets are so popular it seems that everyone is trying to do the same. When I first heard HTC was opening stores I thought, no. Just no! Low and behold just like Samsung and and even Microsoft, HTC has just opened their own store although it's inside of another store in Hamburg, Germany.
Samsung just cannot get away from angry Apple fans. Samsung has opened a new retail store in Vancouver, Canada - its first in North America - and apparently some can't help but draw comparisons and Apple's famous boutiques. Looking at the picture of this new Samsung Store below, there do seem to be some striking similarities such as the way Samsung's devices are displayed and the dark blue uniforms its employees are wearing. It begs the question though - is this really something to get all worked up about?
