Nexus Player now on Newegg, Best Buy, questions still on availability

As of today, it seems that we won't need to dizzy ourselves going around in circles in looking for a place to buy the Nexus Player, as you can now obtain the uniquely round Android TV device outside of the Google Play Store. Users looking for a more Android-based TV viewing experience can now get if from Newegg, Best Buy, and Amazon, but still the device’s availability it raises several other questions.

Samsung launching stand-alone retail stores in Europe

Samsung has announced plans to launch 60 stand-alone retail stores across Europe. The stores will be opening as part of a new "preferred partner" agreement that Samsung has signed with the Carphone Warehouse Group. The Samsung stores will be opening over the next three months and coming to the UK as well as Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Google setting up “Winter Wonderlabs” retail shops for the holidays

We’ve long wondered if Google would ever consider a retail presence. On one hand, they’re a company of services, meant to support users with things like Maps and Gmail. Then they have branded equipment like the Nexus devices and Chromebook Pixel. Even the Chromecast is a very Google product, leading us to believe they’d at least try to get involved in retail.

OUYA already sold out from Amazon, still available at retail stores

Android Nation Stores now in India

Google didn't see fit to sit around and watch all the other big tier companies wander casually onto Indian soil (You know, the country with the second largest population in the world) and take up all their possible mobile sales, so they've decided to do something about it. In an effort to broaden the Android user-base and push sales of Android equipped devices in India, Google has taken the initiative to open their first store in New Delhi's Select CityWalk.

Viva Movil by JLo opens first fashionable mobile store in Brooklyn

It's true, JLo has her own retail store where she'll be selling smartphones in a joint venture with Verizon Wireless. You can also expect to find fashionable accessories and all types of goodness at her new Brooklyn location. Last month at CTIA Verizon had a big announcement (it wasn't the HTC One) and surprised us all by announcing Viva Movil - a wireless carrier for Latinos. We have more details on the new shop below.
