Samsung Galaxy Nexus system dump with recovery and boot images available

The time is slowly getting closer for the Galaxy Nexus to hit the shelves. Is it just me or does the days seem to be dragging on for when we can finally enjoy the Nexus? It seems things are about to start looking even better for the popular LG G2x. You can read our full review on the beastly phone here. Now we have some great news, T-Mobile recently tweeted that the wait for gingerbread "wont be long" and that it was "coming soon". Good news indeed.

LG G2x and Optimus 2x get 1 click clockwork recovery

Earlier in the week we told you about the G2x getting 1-click-root and recovery and you can read about that here. The root method is a 1-click program that is as simple as it gets, but the flashing of clockworkmod recovery was a different story. It needed additional files and NvFlash. Now we have ClockworkMod Recovery for the G2x the easy way.

It looks like things are already moving along just fine, just as we expected they would on the LG G2x. It doesn't have locked bootloaders, or any of those other issues all the Motorola and HTC phones have as of late. After day one we are already rooted, and running clockworkmod both on the G2x, next up is CyanogenMod.

Well well, it looks like the amazing Paul O'Brien from ModaCo has been busy with the new dual core device from LG. He has already done plenty on this phone but recently he has announced and shown pictures for a few exciting things. One being that Paul himself said the phone is a developer dream device. It is not locked down, and messed up like phones have been lately from both Motorola, and HTC. It is open, and free just like it should be and as Android was intended.

Uh Oh, looks like HTC has failed again. For some odd reason all these manufacturers insist on trying to lock down these devices. I think they should just embrace the custom ROM and hacker community. After all it's extremely popular and has totally helped Android become what it is today. I'm just waiting for CyanogenMod Phone One to be released so we don't have to ever worry about rooting ever again. (Happy Face)

Logitech Revue Ad with a Creepy Kevin Bacon [Part 2]

Uh oh, looks like Google TV is at it again with the awesome Kevin Bacon commercial. For those that missed the first one you can read about and see it here. The Logitech Revue is the widely popular Google TV set top that has been selling quite well. Google reported around 90,000 in Q4. Back in December Google released the "Biggest Kevin Bacon Fan" video and it had a lot of mixed reviews as it was a little creepy. I liked the ending though.
