At a presentation in Beijing today, Acer’s CEO Gianfranco Lanci teased the audience with a 7-inch Android tablet. When asked about the device he kept all information tight lipped. But the device is said to be running Android and is very fast. It appears Acer has a few more Android devices in the works that is almost ready for prime time.
Some of you may have heard of this name before. HTC had a vote recently which allowed users to pick the name of their next device. Wildfire was the winner with the most votes. Today the FCC had some hands on time with a new Android device that has a full QWERTY slide out keyboard.
At the end of last month we told you about Sharp’s plans to offer two Android MID’s with full QWERTY keyboards. Specs and pictures are here. Recently, two videos surfaced with these new devices in action. This video was posted by Gigazine.
LG is rumored to be working on a high-end Android device codenamed Aloha. So far there have not been any pictures of the device. The handset in the picture is the LG LU2300 and it is set for release in Korea. Could this be the rumored Aloha? Most of the specs match the rumored specs except the product number, C710 is rumored to be the Aloha and this device is the LU2300.
One of the largest Japanese telephone operators AU is teaming up with Sharp to bring two Android MID’s to the market. The two Android devices will be called the JN-DK01 and the IS01. The JN-DK01 is developer’s edition of the Iso1 which can be used to make alterations to the device and the OS.
These ultra compact phones are slated to follow the original X10. They are among some of the smallest Android devices to date. AT&T has been the rumored US carrier of all three, but these prices reflects the European market only.
