Acer beTouch E120 and E130 Android phones debut
Acer has outed its latest two Android smartphones, the beTouch E120 and beTouch E130, though disappointingly they both run Android 1.6 Donut.  The Acer beTouch E120 has a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen while the Acer beTouch E130 has a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen and a QWERTY keybaord; both have a 3.2-megapixel camera, dualband 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. There's also a microSD card slot, GPS, an FM radio, accelerometer and digital compass, together with the usual suite of Google apps.  We're not expecting dramatic performance, however, thanks to the 416MHz processor. The beTouch E120 will drop in mid-July 2010, while the beTouch E130 will follow in August 2010.  No word on pricing at this stage. Android 2.1 MID from Sony Ericcson spotted
A new Android MID from Sony Ericsson has seemingly leaked in China, differentiating itself by virtue of a full hardware QWERTY keyboard rather than relying solely on an on-screen 'board.  The photo leak prompted a slug of other tidbits, too, with Engadget being told that the handheld runs a stock Android 2.1 install and has a 5.5-inch touchscreen. Unusually, the original source in China reckons Sony Ericsson have no internal plans to put Android 2.2 on this unnamed handset, though that of course could change by the time it launches.  That's expected to take place this coming fall, with Sony Ericsson currently working on low-level drivers.
