Qualcomm leak hints at 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date – Mum’s the word

Earlier this week a leaked Qualcomm roadmap managed to find its way onto the interwebs, and it was full of useful and potentially damaging information and was quickly pulled. Our friends from AndroidPolice first posted the details, but were shortly thereafter ordered to remove the information. Today some new details have surfaced confirming that along with the Qualcomm information, the slides also reported Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is coming this spring.

Qualcomm ends Q1 2013 with net profit of $1.91 billion

Bust out the champagne, Qualcomm shareholders, because the company delivered the financial results for its fiscal Q1 2013 today, and things are looking pretty good across the board. GAAP revenue came in at $6.09 billion, which is up 29% year-over-year and 24% over the previous quarter. Of that $6.09 billion, Qualcomm got to keep $1.91 billion, with net profits up 36% year-over-year and a whopping 50% sequentially.

LG Optimus G2 reportedly coming this fall with 1.9 GHz quad-core

New reports have begin to surface stating that LG plans to introduce their next-gen Optimus G2 in the fall. It's being reported that their new model will arrive right around the 1 year anniversary for the original. Previous reports had many thinking LG would announce the phone last week at CES, but now late February for Mobile World Congress will probably be the stage at which the device is unveiled.

Qualcomm announces two new processors in Snapdragon S4 line

Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 line of processors has proven to be incredibly popular, so it isn't much of a surprise that the company has added two new CPUs to the Snapdragon S4 family. Announced today, the MSM8226 and the MSM8626 are bound for China, and offer a number of features that we have a feeling manufacturers will pay attention to. Those manufacturers will have a little bit of a wait ahead of them, though, as these new processors aren't scheduled to launch until Q2 2013.
