ST-Ericsson’s NovaThor mobile processors might not be a household name, but they've been putting a lot of effort lately into their mobile lineup. For those that are unaware, their processors power the Galaxy S III Mini, the Sony Xperia Go, and a few other mid-range devices from yester-year. However their new quad-core 3.0 GHz silicon is claiming to be the world's fastest mobile CPU.

Back at CES the folks from NVIDIA finally announced the much anticipated successor to their popular Tegra 3 quad-core processor. That being their new and improved Cortex-A15 quad-core Tegra 4 superchip. Today however NVIDIA has just announced another quad-core processor for the Tegra family. It's called the Tegra 4i and is geared for the mass smartphone market with integrated 4G LTE.

There's been a lot of talk and leaks lately about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet. While we don't know all the details yet, a rather interesting device from none other than Hyundai has arrived and looks almost identical to the Note 8. Meet the Hyundai T7 tablet complete with a 7-inch HD display, priced lower than the Nexus 7, and the same quad-core processor as the Galaxy S III. Oh and did we mention it looks like a super-sized smartphone.

Just like the weeks before CES, we're now getting close to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and we're already starting to see leaks. Huawei is at it again and today the first press image has leaked for their upcoming 1080p super-slim smartphone. Their Ascend D2 was shown off at CES, but MWC it'll be all about the new Ascend P2 with its 13 megapixel camera and 1.8 GHz quad-core processor.

It would not be all that surprising to learn that Google was working on a next-generation Nexus 10 tablet. In fact, assuming they were planning to release a new Nexus 10 and were planning to show it off during Google I/O, we suspect that they would have already been working on such a device. Huawei has previously only been known for their budget friendly smartphones that were also a bit on the cheap side, but as of late they've been changing their game. Last years Ascend D Quad showed promise, and this years brand new Ascend Mate and Ascend D2 we saw last week at CES are certainly a step in the right direction. One that wasn't mentioned last week, the Huawei G520, has appeared and looks rather nice given the price.

Huawei isn't doing too good of a job keeping their plans for CES 2013 a secret. We've seen multiple leaks regarding their upcoming smartphone and tablet plans. This year they have an impressive Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1-inch phablet in the works, as well as a 5-inch 1080p full HD Ascend D2 to replace the original. Today both devices have leaked yet again in a series of press materials.
