Amazon Coyote and Hollywood Tablets on the Docket

Word is that Amazon is prepping not one, but two new tablets to be released inside 2011. The first is a dual-core tablet by the name of "Coyote" and the second is a quad-core tablet by the name of "Hollywood." This information comes via tipster to Boy Genius Report, and besides the basics, (names and processor possibilities,) not a whole lot more is known. They're probably going to be wild and crazy though, as without the need for the Android Market, Amazon will be able to do whatever they like to the Android system placed on their devices - that means no requirements for any pre-loaded apps, for example.

NVIDIA KAL-EL Quad-Core Processor on Track for 2011

And yes, Nexus 3 is going to exist. Are they going to intersect? That's what the Android forums are abuzz with, but as the NVIDIA Q1 2011 gives not even a clue about such a thing, I'm going to go ahead and call fluff. I've got a very informed exclusive quote from an industry official below on the matter, and that should clear everything up for everyone. Meanwhile this news that KAL-EL will be coming out this year isn't exactly new either since all the way back at the initial announcement during Mobile World Congress 2011 a within-the-year timeframe was the plan.

Asus Quad Core Tablet with 3D display hinted

Fresh off the news that Asus is coming out with three new tablets running Honeycomb, comes the news that 3D may be a feature on a future tablet which also has a quad core processor. The hint comes from a chat with CEO Jerry Chen where he claims that part of the company's plans for 2011 is to introduce a 3D tablet with a Quad-core processor. The tablet is rumored to be made by the same company that builds the LG Optimus Pad since it will have a 3D screen. And since Asus is wall to wall with Honeycomb now, there's not need to assume they will change course unless Google releases a new OS flavor by then.
