NVIDIA Tegra 4i demos i500 LTE modem on Cat 4: 150Mbps of speed

This week NVIDIA has its Tegra 4i processor delivering mobile data speeds as the company has never been able before, complete with an integrated i500 LTE modem first delivered here, on the Tegra 4 platform. With the NVIDIA i500 LTE modem integrated in to the Tegra 4i, NVIDIA has demonstrated speeds of up to 150Mbps with an emulation of an LTE Cat 4 network.

Pantech Vega Iron 1080p HD phone leaks before tomorrow’s reveal

While we've been seeing nearly all manufacturers jump on board this new 1920 x 1080p full HD train for their smartphones, a few are a little late to the game. Today we're seeing more reports and some leaked images of an upcoming device from the folks at Pantech. This device is reportedly to be called the Vega Iron, and rocks a full HD display and other top-tier specs.

Lenovo S920 announced with 5.3-inch display, quad-core and Jelly Bean

It was only a few weeks ago we got our first look at the previously unknown Lenovo S920 quad-core smartphone, and today they've made it official. The S920 is a pretty impressive sounding smartphone and as of today you can order it over in China, although they aren't quite shipping this 5.3-inch device yet.

XOLO Q800 quad-core Jelly Bean smartphone announced for $230

The folks from XOLO have just launched their very first quad-core Android smartphone. The XOLO Q800 was detailed and launched late last week and arrives with some pretty good specs and hardware all for just $230. Lenovo S920 5.3-inch phablet and S820 smartphone leaks

It looks like the popular PC company Lenovo is aiming to offer a few impressive quad-core smartphones later this year. While we've already seen and were impressed with the Lenovo K900 Intel-powered 5.5-inch smartphone, today a few slightly more budget aimed smartphones have leaked. Both rocking quad-core processors, and one even sports a large 5.3-inch display.

Acer Liquid S quad-core 4.7-inch smartphone in the works

This week at Mobile World Congress the folks from Acer had a pretty mild showing, but we all had a feeling more was coming as they've continued their Android push. Today though, reports are surfacing that Acer's president revealed a quad-core smartphone from the company is in the works and coming soon. This will be their first quad-core smartphone.

Galaxy S IV rumored to have Exynos 5 Octa-core, but only in Europe

The Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphone is still a bit of a mystery for now, but we'll be learning all the details on March 14th for the official Samsung Unpacked Event. While we wait, a few more rounds of rumors are beginning to surface that has our interest piqued. New reports state the US model will be powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 600 series processor, while the Europe model will enjoy that new 8-core chip from Samsung.

Intel announces dual-core Atom CPU for mobile, quad-core later this year

Intel has been making some pretty steady progress with their mobile processor lineup, and now some recent rumors have been confirmed. Today at MWC 2013 Intel has announced they'll soon be debuting their new Intel Atom dual-core processors, formally known as Clovertrail+. If the ASUS FonePad rocking a dual-core ATOM wasn't enough, Intel's now made it official.
