Sony Ericsson records $318 million loss for Q4

Today Sony Ericsson announced their Q4 reports and had some less than stellar news to share. I didn't want to call this earnings because it appears they've actually recorded a $318 million dollar loss for Q4 instead of earnings. This was a pre-tax loss of €247m ($318m) amid “intense competition” along with the poor economic climate. Hopefully their new take on Android will help things out in the coming months.

Lenovo Skylight and UI Hybrid will now feature Android

Since we first laid eyes on this innovative tablet at CES, we’ve always wondered what it would be like if Android was running on such a device. Well, our dreams have come true, Lenovo has opted out of using their own custom version of Linux in favor of Android. They also have pushed back the release most likely in preparation for an Android loaded Skylight and UI Hybrid.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to get UXP upgrade in Q4 2010

This is good news for all you X10 owners, Sony has just confirmed Android 2.1 for the X10 in Q4. Not only will it get Android 2.1 but it will also receive a few other enhancements. This device is one of the best multimedia Android devices. The X10 Mini and Pro may receive the update shortly after the original.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Android 2.1 update promised for Q4 2010

Sony Ericsson has confirmed that their XPERIA X10 series, which includes the X10, XPERIA X10 mini and X10 mini pro, will receive an upgrade to Android 2.1. This update won’t happen until Q4 later this year. This update will add HD video recording to the X10 as well as other media-centric tweaks.
