LG confirms existence of LG Nexus 4

Earlier today, we reported that the details from Google's event have come out, and among that news was the LG Nexus 4. Well, to go along with that LG has confirmed the existence of the device. They also confirmed that Google will be announcing the device, and most of the details that go along with it, at the press event on October 29.

Samsung Galaxy Note II event set for October 24 in NYC

We've already heard plenty about the Samsung Galaxy Note II's features, and our friends over at SlashGear have given it a full review telling us what they think (spoiler: they're quite fond of it), but it appears that Samsung has a few more details up its sleeve. The company will be holding a press event in New York City on October 24 for the Galaxy Note II, which is an event we've known about for a little while. However, today we're receiving the formal invitation to the event, and you can see it in all of its glory below.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini rumors “accurate” according to some Android devs

If you've been keeping up with the latest rumors, you'll know that Samsung may be plotting to reveal the Galaxy S III Mini at an event in Germany next week. It wouldn't surprise us in the least to learn that Samsung has a miniaturized version of the Galaxy S III up its sleeve, but aside from that German event invitation that surfaced a couple days back, there hasn't been much in the way of actual evidence to go on. Today, however, a handful of unnamed Android developers are adding fuel to the fire by claiming that the Galaxy S III Mini rumors are "accurate."

HTC details September 19th event to show us “what’s next”

Not to be outdone by the Apple event on the 12th, or the Motorola event set for tomorrow, HTC has just issued their own save the date event announcements to the press inviting us all to enjoy "what's next" later this month. They sure don't give us many hints but we'll be seeing their next device in NYC in a few weeks.

Samsung UNPACKED 2012 app hits the Google Play Store

You can't have a major press event these days without a companion app to go with it - tech journalists are a fickle bunch, and even if we never use it, it's nice to know it's there. So it is with Mobile UNPACKED 2012, Samsung's May 3rd event in London that most notably will host "The Next Galaxy" (Galaxy S III) press announcement. If you'll be at the event, download it from the Google Play Store to get ready.

Samsung’s March 22nd event is not, repeat NOT the Galaxy S III

After the disappointing news that Samsung is electing not to grace Mobile World Congress with the presence of its much-anticipated Galaxy S III, many jumped on its French event slated for March 22nd as the possible stage for the phone's unveiling. Alas, this is not the case: The Next Web heard it straight from the source that the March 22nd event will be more of a showcase for those devices that are displayed at MWC. Also, not to be the person that goes "I told you so", but.. I told you so.

Samsung schedules March 22nd event in France

Samsung's announced a new event! Quick, let's dig through the Galaxy S III rumor mill and see what they'll debut! Hold your horses, Samsung faithful - there's reason to believe that the latest Samsung event isn't the one the company hinted at when delaying the newest flagship. Two things point to a smaller announcement: one, it's in March, just three weeks after Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. And two, it takes place in France, and apparently in French as well. Meaning no disrespect to our French readers, that indicates a regional announcement, probably a modified existing model like the Galaxy S Advance or a partnership with a local carrier. The lingua franca (so to speak) for the tech world is English, and announcements tend to come as such wherever they are: see Google and Samsung's Hong Kong announcement of the Galaxy Nexus.

LG sending invites for “exclusive launch event” December 1st, new phone coming soon

It looks like LG is all set to start doing a few of their own exclusive launch event parties for upcoming smartphones because we've just got word that LG will be holding an "exclusive launch event" on December 1st (next Thursday). The invite sure doesn't give us a lot of details and everything is hidden under red drapes as you can see from the invite image but we have a few guesses already.
