Sony WalkMan Phones return

Last summer, we talked about Sony's plans to bring the Sony Walkman brand back to phones to create a media class smartphone. Back then, we were talking about a small 2.6" TFT display with a paltry 5.1 MP camera and 600 Mhz processor. There was also talk of a tablet which has of yet to appear. It may be better late than never, but we've now got word that Sony-Ericsson is gearing up marketing in preparation for a 2011 WalkMan mobile launch. And here's the poster to prove it ....

Nexus One Launches in Korea with Froyo?

If you’re in Korea, you don’t have to wait for the official Froyo release. Google has decided to launch the Nexus One with Android 2.2 preinstalled. KT will be the launch partner with Google in this latest release of the Nexus One.

Introducing Google TV – Video

Google has just released a video that explains what exactly we can do with Google TV. As expected, it has great search features integrated that allows you to browse your own content as well as content on the web. Some televisions will come with Google TV preinstalled or you can purchase a set top box to convert your current television to Google TV.

Swype Beta Now Open to All (Limited Time)

For the next few days Swype will be opening up its beta app for anyone with an Android phone that registers. Swype offers a new way to enter text by swiping your finger from letter to letter to input text. This keyboard has been responsible for some amazing text entry speeds.

Droid 2 Finally Exposed – Video

Up until now all we’ve seen of the droid 2 is a blurry picture that didn’t even show the entire front of the device. Now we finally get a clear look at the full handset. There’s even a video of the boot screen and you can clearly see that it has a full QWERTY keyboard. It looks almost identical to the original droid that we all know and love.

Shadow is now Droid X?

Lately this has been the most leaked upcoming Android phone around the web. Out of all the leaked pictures and information, there hasn’t been any solid evidence of any of these claims until now. Our friend over at Phandroid has just received a few new screenshots of the highly anticipated Motorola Shadow. First off, the new name is Droid X, this is a change from Droid Xtreme that we‘ve heard in recent leaks of the device.

Swype Beta Has Been Updated

A new version of Swype is now available to all of you lucky people that managed to get in on the beta testing. This keyboard has been preinstalled on a few phones and has yet to make its way onto the Android Market. This update includes a few bugs fixes and performance tweaks.

Verizon Bringing VCast Video to Android on Monday

There was a tweet sent yesterday by Philadelphia-area VZW rep Sheldon Jones, that said Verizon will be bringing its VCast Video service to their Android smart phones starting Monday. This is great news for all you Verizon Android owners. Whether you have a Devour or an Incredible, all of their Androids should receive this service.

Movistar unveils the Ivy, a low-cost Android 2.1 phone with Huawei

While most of us wait in anticipation for the 2.1 OTA, a low-end device emerges with it preinstalled. Movistar, in partnership with Huawei, has launched a low-cost Android-powered handset called the Ivy. The Movistar IVY comes with the usual Google apps and is expected to launch shortly in Europe. .

Sony Ericsson: Walkman Android Tablet/MP3 Player?

Sony might have a few extra plans for Android up their sleeve. They could have a new Walkman in the making that will powered by Android. There also could be a Sony CyberShot Android based Camera in the making as well. According to the rumors, Sony plans to make an official announcement introducing these products next month.
