Data shows Japanese spend more in Play Store than we do stateside

A new report by AppAnnie has some interesting statistics about Japanese spending habits in the Play Store. According to their research, Play Store Japan is more lucrative than the US when comparing user spending habits. The Japanese Android user will spend roughly 10% more than their US counterpart, an odd turnaround considering that last year Japan was spending about 40% less that we did stateside.

Airbnb updates Android app, brings reviews and host calendar view

Airbnb, the popular home renting service, has updated their Android app. What was once a simple way to peruse homes and apartments for rent has quickly morphed into a full-fledged mobile service. Today’s update brings one of the most crucial aspects to the Android version in the ability to write reviews. The update also gives a refreshed listing page, and the host’s calendar will now show on the listing page.

Google quietly added a new addition to the Nexus 7 tablet lineup today. The new arrival is a new color -- white. While the specs and pricing remain the same as before, the white model Nexus 7 does have a few tidbits worth mentioning. To begin with, this model is only available with 32GB of storage space.
