Plants vs Zombies 2 for Android, with Apple being pointed as the culprit. Naturally, Apple denies giving game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) a "truckload of money" to exclusively release the hit game on iOS first before unleashing it to the rest of the world.

While we all know these numbers would be substantially higher with a simultaneous release, the developers from PopCap games are already celebrating nearly 25 million downloads.
Plants vs Zombies is quite popular, and last year around this same time we learned that a sequel was in the works. Then back in March we learned it would arrive on mobile come this summer, only to later find out it would launch as an iOS exclusive. So this isn't really news, but by now we were hoping for at least some details regarding an Android release.
PopCap Games had confirmed they were working on a Plants vs. Zombies sequel way back in August of 2012, it wasn't until much more recently when they offered a bit more detail. That news came in March when Plants vs. Zombies 2 was announced for sometime in the "early summer." Of course, Android users may remember the bad news that came soon after.
PopCap Games has returned with additional Plants vs. Zombies 2 release details. The game will be launching on July 18th and while that would normally sound like good news, Android users that have been waiting will likely be a bit disappointed. You see, in addition to the release date, PopCap Games has mentioned that being "exclusively for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch."
PopCap Games has been pretty quiet in terms of Plants vs. Zombies 2 details. A short while back they opened up a little bit and had said the game was going to be released sometime in the early summer. As of today however, it looks like we now have a tiny bit more in terms of detail. Basically, PopCap Games has confirmed the game will be released in July.
