ARCHOS to launch new smartphone, 3 phablets at MWC 2015

ARCHOS, a gadget manufacturer that focuses on the mid-range and entry level niches, is gearing up for the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 at Barcelona with a new smartphone in tow, and a couple of large screen devices. These devices are firmly targeted at the mid-range to lower-end tiers of the market – at consumers looking for functionality at a lower price.

Android Lollipop 5.0.1 for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge leaks

Samsung seems to be taking its own sweet time in releasing Android 5.0 software to its devices – but at least it didn’t tie itself down to a 90-day time frame like some OEMs we know (we kid, HTC). The South Korean manufacturer is in the process of rolling out Lollipop to its devices, but it has been very slow indeed. The Samsung Galaxy S5 at least has Lollipop in some markets around the globe, including US consumers under Verizon. No Lollipop sweetness yet for the quirky Galaxy Note Edge, but if you’re really desperate to try, there is a leaked beta build available in flashable ROM format.

OPPO U3 ready to hit the market with ‘rabbit’s tail’ technology

Yes, you read that one right — the most distinguishable part of the new OPPO U3 phablet is not its huge screen size or even its crisp sound, but a special casing with a ball of white fur on the rear cover that looks, well, like a rabbit’s tail (which is what OPPO calls it, actually). This unintentionally cute innovative tech is apparently meant to help users grip the U3 better, due to the phablet's size.

Android 5.0 build leaked for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

More and more people are getting themselves excited for their smartphones and tablets to be upgraded to Android 5.0 by their manufacturers, and Samsung users are not exempt from the hype. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – last year’s flagship phablet – is scheduled to get a bump to Lollipop, but lo and behold, here we have a Lollipop build leaked for the device.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Max to be launched in Korea

Courtesy of the Samsung-specific Sam Mobile website, we are getting our first look at a very new Samsung Galaxy Grand Max – a phablet that will be launched in Korea, with no news yet if the gadget maker is bringing the said device to the international market.

The Blu Studio 7.0 is a budget-friendly 7-inch smartphone

Yeah, you can balk at the size all you want – you know we all did. There’s just something about a smartphone when it breaks the 6-inch barrier that makes it go from useful to weird – not quite a tablet, too big for a phone. But Florida-based outfit Blu wants to take that risk in putting out the Blu Studio 7.0, a huge 7-inch smartphone for the budget conscious.
