Google Wallet cards arriving to consumers this week (we got ours last night), Visa has attacked on the other side. PayPal has added support for prepaid gift cards. With no coincidence in timing, the folks at PayPal have added this "just in time for the holidays." “Login and Pay with Amazon”, a mobile payment system designed to get more online stores using the largest online retailer as a clearinghouse for transactions. PayPal has rolled-out the latest update for their Android app. The updated app brings mobile-wallet features and can be found in the Google Play Store. While we have seen some activity in the mobile-wallet space, it seems this has yet to really catch on for many consumers. PayPal has announced the availability of a new Android SDK. This release is aimed at developers and PayPal notes that it will be able to offer "everything a developer needs to accept both PayPal and credit card payments." On the flip side though, while the release of the SDK is for developers, it should also serve to improve the payment process for a user looking to pay through PayPal. While there isn't any timeline as to when this will show up in apps, the SDK will be available beginning on May 15th.
