Motorola Removes All But Two Android Devices from German Website

Over the last year, now Google-owned Motorola Mobility has been caught up in a variety of patent issues involving alleged infringement of Microsoft and Apple patents, many of which have since been upheld by various courts. Motorola has lost several counter-lawsuits in the ongoing debacle, resulting in injunctions, but has left the gadgets on its website. It seems, however, that the company has pulled all but two of its Android devices from its German website.

Who doesn't love patent trolls who exist for the sole purpose of suing companies for an alleged slight on some patent that they have no intention of using? This time, Accredited Transcription Corp (ATC), the company in question, is coming after Google's Voice Recognition and Apple's Siri in regards to US patent 6,298,326.

Samsung plays offense, will sue Apple if they release an LTE iPhone

Just when we thought it was almost over, we realize the party has only just started. New reports today are clearly stating that while Samsung might have lost the battle, in the end they'll win the war. According to the Korean Times Samsung holds just over 10% of all 4G LTE (long term evolution) patents and is prepared to play some offense of their own in the courtroom.

Go Judge Koh! Today some tempers are getting slightly heated after the continuous and ongoing legal battle between Samsung and Apple. Samsung buys chipmaker CSR’s technology and patents

Today Samsung has acquired the chipmaker company CSR's wireless handset technology and patents for the tune of around $310 million. CSR is a UK technology company that mainly deals in single-chip Bluetooth solutions for smartphones and other mobile devices. Along with buying out their technology they've also acquired a large set of patents. Cheers for playing a little defense Samsung!

Google Nexus 7 features smart cover magnetic sensor

I guess there are a few features we didn't know of when it came to Google's brand new Nexus 7 tablet. It appears that there are still a few mysteries surrounding the device. No we aren't talking about the release date either, this is about smart covers. It seems that Google's added a magnetic sensor on the bottom left side of the tablet that smart covers can take advantage of. Check out the video after the break.
