Pantech

Pantech 1.5 Ghz dual-core phone in Korea only – but why?

If you are like me and have been watching for all of the latest dual-core phones coming out lately, you'll probably wonder the same thing as me regarding this next phone. It sure sounds like a beast. Pantech plans to release the worlds first dual-core 1.5 Ghz smartphone called the Vega Racer. The only thing is for now it seems to be at their home in Korea only. They are well known in those parts but not so much in the West. I'm wondering why they have the speed burst, but we don't.

Pantech P8000 surfaces with Android onboard

Pantech has been making mobile phones for a long time now and typically the devices are more focused on low price than they are on high-end features and functions. A new device from Pantech has surfaced called the P8000 and this one has Android for the OS.

KDDI out new ISO4, IS05 and IS06 Android smartphones

Japan has already taunted us with the Sharp IS03; now carrier KDDI is flaunting a further three Android smartphones that look reasonably tempting.  Toshiba, Sharp and Pantech are behind the new devices - the REGZA IS04, IS05 and SIRIUSα IS06 respectively - running Android and all toting 1-Seg digital TV tuners. The Toshiba REGZA IS04 has a 4-inch 854 x 480 touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 12.19-megapixel camera and is waterproof.  It also has WiFi, Bluetooth and high-speed 3G data, together with a microSD card slot.  It'll land in Japan in January 2010, the only drawback being its Android 2.1 OS. The Sharp IS05 and Pantech IS06, meanwhile, get Froyo and 3.4-inch touchscreens (854 x 480 on the IS05, 800 x 480 on the IS06).  The IS05 has an 8-megapixel camera, Snapdragon, 720p HD video recording and Bluetooth/WiFi, while the IS06 has a 5-megapixel camera, and will drop in December. Pantech A630K Android powered phone designed for women

Not very many mobile phones are designed especially for women, but the A630K, Pantech's second Android powered phone. The "Crystal de Izar" if you take a look at the bottom, a crystal design can be seen that lights up in different colors. Obviously the design has pushed it for women to use, even though Pantech never announced they were trying to do that.
