Pantech Perception tipped for an April 25 release

The Pantech Perception is a name we have heard before. Of course, the catch with that is we have yet to hear anything official from Pantech or the expected carrier, which in this case happens to be Verizon Wireless. Instead the Pantech Perception details have include a few leaks along with an FCC filing. Details began leaking back in January, however that FCC filing was discovered towards the end of February.

Pantech Vega Iron officially announced with 5-inch 720p display

The Pantech Vega Iron has officially been announced and while the handset has been seen in a few leaks, it now appears as if those leaks were not entirely accurate. The disappointing part here is the one inaccurate bit was in regards to the display, which has been announced as 720p and not 1080p. On that note, the Vega Iron will arrive sporting a 5-inch display at 1280 x 720.

While we've been seeing nearly all manufacturers jump on board this new 1920 x 1080p full HD train for their smartphones, a few are a little late to the game. Today we're seeing more reports and some leaked images of an upcoming device from the folks at Pantech. This device is reportedly to be called the Vega Iron, and rocks a full HD display and other top-tier specs.

Pantech Vega Iron looks to compete with the GALAXY S 4 and HTC One

The Pantech name may not bring the same response as say Samsung, however it looks like an upcoming release may change that a little bit. The handset is the Pantech Vega Iron and based on what we have been seeing, an announcement is coming soon. But just to make the point, that doesn't mean the handset will be available next week. The more interesting point here though, the Pantech Vega Iron looks to have specs that will challenge some of the current top smartphone contenders.

Pantech Perception for Verizon Wireless spotted in FCC filing

Details on the Pantech Perception leaked back in early January. That leak came in render form and left no real doubt as to where the handset was headed considering the Verizon logo was sitting centered on the top of the device. This latest image of the Perception does not have a Verizon logo, however that is still where it is believed to be heading. The FCC filing for the Perception has recently been discovered and this time around we are getting to see the handset from just about every angle.

Pantech Vega No. 6 smartphone unveiled with 5.9-inch display

Pantech has officially announced their latest smartphone, the Vega No. 6. Except, given the size of the display some may prefer to call this a phablet. Names aside, the Vega No. 6 is on the larger size and will arrive sporting a 5.9-inch display. Along with the display (which is Full HD), the Vega No. 6 will have a large battery and a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera that is said to be capable of recording full HD resolution video at 30 frames per second.
