iTunes Radio free vs Google Music’s monthly fee

Yesterday, Apple put all the rumors to rest and officially announced their next entry into the music world with iTunes Radio. A music streaming service from Apple has been speculated about for years, and now that it's finally here we wanted to compare it with Google's offering. Apple is late to the subscription-based streaming party, but have a pretty good plan that has me questioning my Google Music All Access subscription already.

Pandora Radio mobile streaming climbs to over 140 million

Pandora Radio has announced their latest milestone. They have crossed the 200 million mark in terms of registered users. Or perhaps a little closer to the mobile side of the house, Pandora Radio now has more than 140 million listeners that have tuned in on a mobile device. That seems to say something about the simplicity and ease of use that comes with Pandora. Of course, the quality doesn't hurt either.

I must admit, even though Rdio is pretty awesome I still find myself always running back to Pandora Radio at some point. The popular music streaming service still provides that personalized radio experience we've grown accustomed to. So for those Pandora fans, we have some good news. They've updated the app and finally added lockscreen music controls.

Pandora Radio adds streaming limits to mobile users

Today we have some bad news for the millions of users that enjoy Pandora free online radio streaming. It looks like the personalized radio service will soon be adding limits to us mobile users. For those that enjoy the mobile app on Android you might want to listen up. According to new reports mobile users will be limited to 40 hours of streaming a month. After that they'll have to pony up some cash to keep listening.

The new option is Pandora, which despite having been around for a few years now, is now rolling out on an international basis. In fact, it was said that this marks the first international expansion for Pandora.

HTC is looking to expand their reach and partnership with Beats Audio by taking on music streaming providers such as Spotify and Pandora. According to new details revealed by GigaOM, HTC and Beats Audio co-founder Jimmy Lovine are planning their own Beats-powered music streaming service for HTC smartphones and tablets.

Facebook tops Nielsen’s list of most popular Android apps

I know, I know, stop the presses: Facebook is the most popular app on Android. The statistical wizards at Nielsen reached this conclusion based on active usage, not total downloads, noting that the recently-updated Facebook app has the most penetration across all of Android's user groups after the Android Market itself. The fact is at least a little surprising, since Facebook beat out Google's entrenched apps like Search, Gmail and Google Maps, which all had slightly lower user groups in every category.

Looks like Pandora Radio for Android has been under fire as of late. If you guys didn't hear they were issued a Subpoena recently over a few different issues, mainly regarding privacy and user data. Apparently there has now been even more information revealed from our friends over at Ars Technica that might have you all even more worried.
