LG Optimus U headed to US Cellular

The LG Optimus is one of the best "starter" Android phones we have seen, shipping with the previously current Android 2.2 it offers up a great user experience to new users, or users who do not need a super powerful smartphone. Now, the device will be coming to US Cellular.

We have heard a lot about the LG Optimus one over the past few weeks. Being one of the most solid entry-level Android devices it's proving itself to be more than just a cheap phone for users who can not handle a smartphone. Continuing it's domination of the lesser market, the Optimus One has hit India for Rs 13,500.

LG’s Android presence is very small in the United States. Many of the popular electronics maker’s handset’s overseas are Android based, and they’re pretty impressive. Here in the US the Android LG market is small but it may be growing larger with the LG Optimus One coming to Verizon under the name Vortex.

LG Android Tablet a Bit Late, Coming Fourth Quarter 2010

We just told you that Samsung has a tablet coming out. Furthermore, we divulged that the company plans on releasing it in the third quarter of this year. And, from what we already know about it (it's the Galaxy Tab, mind you), we are pretty excited about it. Not to be left in the wind, LG Electronics has come forward and said that they, too, will have an Android-based tablet made available this year. But, it's not coming out until the fourth quarter.
