LG Optimus 3D update to 2.3 Gingerbread now available, 3D glasses not included
Earlier this month we reported that LG was all set to start rolling out Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the LG Optimus 3D full of enhancements and 3D specific improvements. That update was started yesterday the 21st and should be hitting Optimus 3D handsets everywhere right now and all week.

Sweet 3D game converter for LG Optimus 3D hits download in Europe
Back in August during IFA 2011, we talked a bit about the 3D game converter that LG was showing off at the show. The game converter is intended to allow the owners of the LG Optimus 3D smartphone to turn all their 2D video games into 3D games on the fly. That will mean that all of your favorite games can now be enjoyed in 3D.

LG Optimus 3D CyanogenMod 7 Alpha now available
In what developers are calling "Almost CyanogenMod" the LG Optimus 3D has just received the first alpha build for CM7. Available right now for users to flash and enjoy all the treats that the developers of CyanogenMod bring to our devices. The Optimus 3D is also known as the AT&T LG Thrill 4G and this should work across both device models.

LG Optimus Note Official as dual-core Tegra 2-packing slider [Video]
While this isn't the first time LG has come correct with a dual-core smartphone, it's certainly the first time they've done so with a slide-out keyboard. With their lineup including such gems as the LG G2x, the LG G-Slate, and the Optimus 3D (aka the Thrill 4G), you'd think LG was the king of dual core. Here they prove their willingness to go strange with what may well be the device that makes their NVIDIA Tegra 2 to Qualcomm dual-core processor ratio go from 2-to-1 to 3-to-1 in an instant. Are you looking to bypass the other dual-core QWERTY slider on the block, the Droid 3? Here you go - LG Optimus Note!

LG Optimus 3D 2 coming in 2012, Ultra-thin at just 7mm
LG has been talking 3D lately and we are now getting a few hints that they are already working on the successor to their recently released LG Optimus 3D known as the LG Thrill 4G on AT&T. You can see our full review here. Along with keeping up with any faster processors and other manufacture offerings they also plan to make the Optimus 3D 2 ultra-thin.

LG Optimus 3D Shown with CyanogenMod 7 Looking Good [Video]
Today we have a video teasing some beautiful CyanogenMod 7 running on the LG Optimus 3D (aka LG Thrill 4G). It might not be available for the AT&T version right away but most likely both will have CM7 builds very shortly. We knew CM7 was coming to the 3D powered phone but now we have a video showing its speed.

Notifications Windows Music Controller Demo on LG Optimus 3D
Have you seen this little piece of candy before? It's a cool little audio track controller present in the notifications pull-down menu on the LG Optimus 3D. It controls the music you're playing with your stock music player and, since Music Beta force closes when you try to open it on LG Optimus 3D, that's pretty much it. It does see album cover art, and does display that, then plays the track, whichever track you want to play.

LG Optimus 3D Out in the Wild, on eBay
It looks like more Google I/O gear is making its way on to eBay. I would keep the cool things like that for myself, but that is just me. From what we are hearing, and seeing there is now multiple LG Optimus 3D phones showing up on Ebay and they are listed as "dev" phones. Listed as new in box, and never used. From what we understand LG gave a few of these out to developers from Google I/O at a LG side event, and some are deciding to sell them rather than keep them... or develop for the device.

Official launch date for LG Optimus 3D unveiled
The smartphone world is growing in a huge way. Every time we turn around there are hoards of new smartphones ready to hit the market and the majority of them are Android phones. There are also a few new smartphones that are bringing some cool features to the market with things like support for 3D connects and 4G network access. So far, 3D has failed to make a big dent in the home with TVs and computers, but a smartphone with 3D might be more appealing to the user thanks to mobile gaming capability.

Why These Two Android Phones will Change Everything
Before we begin, have a look at two phones - one, the LG Optimus 3D, and two, the HTC ChaCha (aka one of the several Facebook phones to reveal themselves in the past 40 or so hours.) Alone, these phones have chances of becoming popular phones for a while, maybe a few months of bigtime sales, then on to the next one, if you take my meaning. But what these two phones being released at relatively the same time means is that the social aspect of mobile has entered the hardware realm.
