OPPO R1

OPPO R1S spotted with Qualcomm Snapdragon inside

It was only the other day that the OPPO R1 was trying to make its way to the US and now it seems that a new variant is already available. It is also entirely possible that this LTE-capable OPPO R1S seen at TENAA is, in fact, the very smartphone spotted at the FCC, retrofitted with a Qualcomm SoC instead of the original MediaTek.

Oppo R1 officially announced

Oppo’s R1, which was previously spied in China, is officially official. The R1 may not be the top-end spec monster we’d hoped for, but it doesn’t necessarily disappoint, either. Of particular note is the rear-facing camera, which sports a pretty impressive F/2.0 aperture.

OPPO R1 hands-on images surface in China

Much of the OPPO chatter has been around the Find 7 lately. And while those details are beginning to surface, there is another handset, the OPPO R1. The R1 was unveiled earlier in the month and is expected to arrive for purchase in late-December. We have yet to see specific release details based on market, however some hands-on images have recently been discovered.

OPPO R1 unveiled ahead of late-December launch

While much of the OPPO talk has included the N1 and CyanogenMod lately, it appears as if the company has just introduced another smartphone. This latest is the OPPO R1, which similar to the N1, brings a focus on photography. In this case, OPPO is touting the R1 as being able to capture quality images in low-light settings.
