TripAdvisor now allows offline browsing when traveling

When traveling to a new place, we all know that it is crucial to do research beforehand so you’d know where to eat, where to shop, which places to visit, etc. Sometimes though, you need to visit a travel website when you’re there already, but you know that roaming charges are a headache. TripAdvisor, one of the most popular travel recommendation and ratings website, now has an offline feature that can help you with this problem.

Stitcher Radio update brings offline playback

Stitcher Radio has rolled out the latest Android app update. The changelog for this particular update is on the shorter side, however even with fewer items listed -- it appears to be one that will be appreciated. This Stitcher update is adding support for offline listening and also adding a left-side navigation drawer.

Google Maps offline mapping returns with new ‘make offline’ button

Following a bit of an outcry from users, Google has once again updated Google Maps for Android and this time around they addressed the issue of offline maps. This all came as a result of the Google Maps v7 update that was announced just about a day ago. It seems, while not removing offline maps completely, Google had that functionality hidden a bit and only accessible by typing "OK Maps" into the search bar.

Today we are hearing from Brian McClendon, VP of Google Maps on what they have in store with Google Maps and the future. As the entire event gets under way we've already learned a few interesting little bits about the extremely popular Google Maps. Things like over 5 million unique miles have been drove by the Google Map cars. Today however, they just announced full offline maps coming soon to Android.
