NVIDIA Tegra 4 ‘always-on HDR’ camera demo

Back during CES 2013 in January NVIDIA unveiled their new Tegra 4 quad-core mobile processor. Along with it comes tons of brand new and exciting camera features they're calling Chimera. Slated as the "World's first mobile computational photography architecture." One of the awesome new features we can expect on Tegra smartphones and tablets is their always on HDR (high dynamic range) photography and video option. Check it out below.

NVIDIA reveals Tegra 5 “Logan” and Tegra 6 “Parker” SoC

NVIDIA held an event today at the GPU Technology Conference, and it unveiled a bunch of new features its future Tegra SoCs will have. Many of these features are game changers and will allow mobile devices to do "everything a modern computer should do." NVIDIA's CEO revealed details about the next-gen Tegra processor codenamed Logan (most likely the Tegra 5), as well as the next-next gen Tegra processor codenamed Parker (most likely the Tegra 6).

NVIDIA shows Riptide GP 2 on Project SHIELD

In keeping with the weekly Project SHIELD game teasers, NVIDIA is this time showing Riptide GP 2 from the folks at Vector Unit. The release of Riptide GP 2 will arrive as a sequel to the original Riptide GP, however as we have already seen with other Project SHIELD games -- it will come with some Tegra 4 related enhancements. In fact, as compared to the original release, NVIDIA has said that Riptide GP 2 will make an "even bigger splash."

NVIDIA shows Burn Zombie Burn on Project SHIELD

NVIDIA has returned with another game title that will be released for Project SHIELD. This latest demo is coming out of Mobile World Congress and is showing a game that was formerly available only on the PS3. That game is Burn Zombie Burn and it comes by way of Tick Tock Games. And as we have seen with the other Project SHIELD game teasers -- this one will also be optimized for the Tegra 4 processor.

NVIDIA reveals five Tegra 4 optimized games

NVIDIA recently shared details on the Tegra 4 optimized version of Zombie Driver and as of today they have announced an additional five Tegra 4 optimized game titles. These latest five include Burn Zombie Burn, Carie: Blood Mansion, RPG CODEX, Dead on Arrival 2 and RU Golf. NVIDIA hasn't offered anything in terms of a timeline of when these games can be expected to arrive -- however without a release date for the Tegra 4, a release date for the games suddenly seems a bit less important.

Live from MWC 2013: What to expect

We've just landed here in Barcelona, Spain, and are getting ready for what will surely be one of the biggest mobile events of the year. As usual this annual event promises the most smartphones, tablets, mobile devices and apps all combined in one place for all the excitement you can handle.
