Xperia Play CDMA phone hits the FCC
The Sony Xperia Play made a repeat performance at the FCC this weekend, as it's CDMA twin received Federal consideration. The inaugural Playstation certified handset, shows a SIM card slot that's different from Verizon's 4G LTE devices. This is leading some to speculate if this is a 3G only device, at least for testing purposes. We haven't seen any 4G association with the phone's advertizing with Verizon, and only rumors are circulating as to the Xperia Play launching later this month. But as we reported here, the Xperia Play is coming to 11 markets around the world, just not the US initially.

Galaxy on Fire 2 now available in Android Market
Fishlabs Entertainment has taken Galaxy on Fire 2 out of Beta and has released it on the Android Marketplace. The game, part of NVidia's Tegra Zone, has epic space battles, weird aliens and romance? Sadly, even though we took the beta version through it's paces on a Motorola Xoom tablet, according to the Android market entry, the game is listed as only supported on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play smartphones. That's too bad, especially since we reported that the Xperia Play isn't even available in the US yet. But it may also explain the $11.26 price tag. Still, it's a frakking sweet game.

Steam may be coming to Android, iOS
Valve's online game download service, Steam, may be coming to mobile devices. The possibility stems from a forum conversation between a Steam gamer Valve's president Gabe Newell, who said that in addition to looking into Android/iOS platform development, the service will also be adding a video recorder for capturing those precious game moments. Steam's service, expanded from Windows PC to Mac last year, and it's pretty certain that they're watching things like NVidia's Tegra Zone to see how widespread mobile gaming can get. And with the future of multi core processors, the timing may be right for the download service to toss their hat into the gaming app ring.

PlayStation Suite Expands on Android Officially
It's been rumored recently that Sony was bringing their Playstation Suite to the Tegra Zone. Well, we've just confirmed the story through NVidia that it is indeed the case. The Playstation Suite, originally designed to bring classic Playstation One games to the Sony-Ericsson Xperia Play, will now make those same games available to all Android handsets which run the NVidia Tegra 2 chip and Android 2.3 or above. Sony is also making available games from their Next Generation Playstation Portable device.

Galaxy on Fire 2 [Review] [Pre-Release] [NVIDIA Tegra Zone Suite Game]
Welcome to our review of an early version of the game Galaxy on Fire 2, an NVIDIA Tegra 2 optimized game which we're testing out on our Motorola XOOM tablet running Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This game is not yet released to the public, slated to be let loose some time during the month of March 2011. Galaxy on Fire 2 is a space battle game that takes place in a future not unlike the "used future" of ALIEN or Star Wars. It's in this universe that you, a space pilot with terrible luck, are sucked through a wormhole to the other end of the galaxy - from there you must fight your way back home by earning cash doing odd jobs in mining and the blasting of enemy ships. Han Solo much?

What this game consists of is a whole heck of a lot of fun in murdering the heck out of hoards of monsters. There's mutant spiders, obese gelatinous goons, red-eyed monkey jumpers, and of course, lots and lots of zombies.
