Qualcomm announces its own Snapdragon game store

As Android's gaming prowess (or at lest the hardware it requires) becomes more and more evident, Qualcomm has decided they want to highlight the potential of their Snapdragon series of mobile processors. To that end, they've announced Snapdragon GamesCommand, a showcase app filled with "console-quality" and casual games exclusively for Snapdragon devices. Like Nvidia's Tegra Zone, at least some of the games in GamesCommand will not appear anywhere else - those with other hardware are out of luck.

If you're a fan of games like Gears of War and wish you had them on your Android device, then you'll want to give this game a try. ShadowGun by the popular developers MadFinger Games have just announced the game will officially be available for Android next week on October 26th. ShadowGun for now, will be a NVIDIA Tegra 2 device exclusive on Android and available in the Tegra Zone, with a regular version coming soon. I've played this awesome 3rd person shooter on my tablet and can say with confidence this is one amazing game for a mobile device.

Hockey Nations 2011 THD Game hands-on [Video]

In part by NVIDIA, we have an awesome and realistic Hockey game by Distinctivegames.com that is designed and beefed up to take full advantage of the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform on our phones and tablets. They've increased tons of graphics and polygon counts to make this the best Hockey Nations available yet. With crowd movement and reactions, player reflections on the ice and more they've really thought of everything. See for yourself in the video demo below.

Today I have one epic game for review here at Android Community and that is SHADOWGUN by the popular developer MadFinger Games. You've probably seen a few videos in the recent past about this stellar new game coming to Android Tegra 2 tablets but if you haven't we have all the details. If there's one thing that's advancing at radically enticing speed in the Android world, it's gaming. Think about the games you were playing on Android a year ago, then watch this video. You'll find that not only is the game Riptide GP, a game we've looked at several times before still an awesome game, we've got it updated to the newest version available and, what do you know, it's got the ability to work with 3rd party controllers. We got a nice package from NVIDIA containing the Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 for some USB-connected action and we were on our way! Not before getting those controls calibrated to our precise wave-riding calibrations right first though, you know we love our calibrations.

NVIDIA Kal-El quad-core optimized Sprinkle Coming Soon, Tegra 2 version Out Today

This Thursday the developers at Mediocre announced not only the release of their radically awesome Sprinkle puzzle game as right this second, today, on the Android Market, but the fact that they're currently working with NVIDIA to optimize the game for the quad-core Project Kal-El processors of the near future. Don't get your pants in too much of a bundle at the moment, though as they've not let slip anything about release date in their excitement over the release of this already excellent water and fire-based game.

NVIDIA Announces Tegra Zone Website for all your HD gaming needs

Today NVIDIA has just announced the new TegraZone.com, a brand new website dedicated to mobile gaming on your favorite Tegra-powered superphones and tablets, and the companion site to the Tegra Zone Android app. Along with the official website launch NVIDIA has also updated the Tegra Zone Android app with new features and a brand new game called Sprinkle. Sprinkle Optimized for Tegra Puzzle Game Review [Pre-Release Version]

This is a game that's all about water. This means there's gonna HAVE to be a lot of awesome physics action involved if it's going to hold any salt against or right alongside the utterly sweet Tegra 2 optimized game Riptide GP, a game which we've addressed more than just once. Everyone knows that Riptide has taken water physics to a new level. Sprinkle takes those physics and throws em all around and makes em work even BETTER than before. Not only will you be tossing water around like a pro, there's a PUZZLE GAME in this too.
