ZTE officially unveiled the nubia Z5S and Z5S mini at an event earlier in the month. ZTE offered details on the specs and pricing at the time and while we had a good idea of how the phones would perform based on the hardware, some still prefer to see the benchmarks so they can better compare to other devices. In this case, it looks like benchmarks for the nubia Z5S mini have recently surfaced.

ZTE nubia Z5S had been leaking. Those early leaks were suggesting a handset with a 5-inch display and Snapdragon 800 processor. And well, it looks like that is what ZTE has unveiled. Or, at least part of what ZTE has unveiled. You see, along with the 5-inch nubia Z5S, there was also word of the nubia Z5S mini with a not-so-mini 4.7-inch display.
ZTE won't be waiting for the end of the year to to finally take off the veils from its upcoming high-end smartphone as previously speculated. The Chinese company will, instead, be announcing the ZTE nubia 5S at a press event scheduled next week, on November 19 to be precise.
ZTE may have only recently begun shipping the nubia 5 and Grand S in the US market, however those two handsets were originally unveiled much earlier in the year. In fact, we first got a look at both back in January, during CES. Given these have both been around for nearly a year at this point, word of a follow-up device doesn't come as much of a surprise.

That time included a pre-game sit down with some ZTE execs, and while they offered some interesting insight about the partnership, perhaps the more immediate news was the US release of the Grand S and nubia 5 smartphones. These were both made available for pre-order here in the US and should begin shipping shortly.
ZTE recently announced the US availability of the Grand S and nubia 5 smartphones. These were announced alongside the partnership with the Houston Rockets. Both handsets are available for pre-order at this time and they will begin shipping in mid-October. But for now, courtesy of ZTE, we got to spend a bit of hands-on time with the Houston Rockets branded nubia 5.
ZTE announced the US availability for the Grand S and nubia 5 smartphones last week and it looks like there was also a bit more to that story. We have heard ZTE talk about making a bigger push in the US market and it looks like they are going rather big -- a partnership with an NBA basketball team. ZTE announced the partnership with the Houston Rockets and in a little pre-game sit down with Android Community, Waiman Lam and Lixin Cheng of ZTE talked a bit about why they choose the Rockets and what else we can look forward to in the future.
ZTE was originally showing the Grand S smartphone back in January during CES. Early details had the handset coming to the US market later in the year and that was then pushed back to sometime in 2014. Well, it looks like the original 'later this year' timeframe ended up being the more accurate here. This morning ZTE has come forward with some Grand S release details for those in the US market.
ZTE was expected to release the Nubia Z5 a short while back, however a last minute change pushed that release back. The new release date was pushed to December 26, and well, that day seems to have arrived and so has details for the release. In short, the ZTE Nubia Z5 smartphone has been officially announced for those in China.
