NFL Mobile headed to Galaxy Nexus today — Super Bowl live stream included

When I received my shiny new Galaxy Nexus from Verizon with 4G LTE I was excited to try NFL Mobile -- their awesome (and sadly exclusive) NFL app that basically is a must-have for any Football fan. Not to mention NFL Mobile premium with free live streaming of all NFL games including the Super Bowl is free for 4G LTE smartphone customers. Sadly it was not supported on the Galaxy Nexus but according to Droid-Life that should be changing today.

Super Bowl XLVI will broadcast live to Verizon’s NFL Mobile app

Welcome to the future, folks. We don't have hoverboards, flying cards or instant pizza, but we can watch live sports on pocketable devices. And come February, we'll be able to watch the biggest game of them all - assuming that the "we" in question uses Verizon and subscribes to their exclusive NFL Mobile service. It will be the first time that the Super Bowl will be officially streamed to mobile devices, a miracle of licensing negotiation as much as a technical achievement.

DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket App Now available for Android Honeycomb

With the NFL finally getting started this week along with plenty of teams seeing the light (or dark), DirecTV has introduced their own NFL Sunday Ticket app specifically for Android Honeycomb tablets. They have long had a Sunday Ticket app, but this is for Android 3.1 and up tablets only and will be taking advantage of the full 10.1" display similar to the recently released NFL 2011 for Honeycomb by the NFL.

NFL 2011 App for Honeycomb Tablets

Just in time for Football to officially get started yesterday the NFL has released their official NFL 2011 app for Android tablets. This requires Android 3.0 or higher and so far it is amazing. I'm way too excited about this because the NFL Mobile app from Verizon doesn't support tablets and everything else just doesn't compare. Watching highlight videos and checking news in amazing quality built specifically for the 10" display looks incredible. Well done NFL, well done!

Madden NFL 2012 Now in the Android Market [Update]

It's time to get back to football. Going along with the console release of Madden 2012 EA has just released the Android and iOS app. Now available in the Android Market is Madden NFL 2012 and it's only $6.99 for those interested. While this may be a bit expensive you do get an extensive NFL game with tons of options and playability.

ESPN Fantasy Football App for Android Now Available

Just in time for the NFL season to get started ESPN has released their Fantasy Football 2011 App for Android. This is the perfect app for fantasy owners allowing you to manage your team on-the-go wherever you are. Recently the official NFL app was released and now just a few days later ESPN launches their own. I'll be sure to give them both a try over the next few days and let you all know what app I like best. I have fantasy teams on both sites so I'll be using them both all season most likely.

Best NFL Live Wallpaper, Support your favorite team in style

I haven't posted a live wallpaper in a little while but when I saw this late last week I figured everyone would like it, Well anyone that is an NFL fan of course. With the season finally almost here, the lockout is over and pre-season games are full steam ahead why don't you support your favorite team right on your Android phone or tablet.

NFL Fantasy Football 2011 App Now Available

I know plenty of you readers are just like me and have been sitting home wishing and hoping the NFL would just start already. The time has finally come, the lockout ended and things are starting to get back to normal. Today in the Android Market the official NFL Fantasy Football App was released and you can get it right here. Although I play plenty of Madden during the season, I find myself playing it even more during the off-season since there isn't any football to watch. I've been going big the last few weeks with excitement.
