Google Play Store, the devices page has added a banner introducing the Nexus 5. Given the lengthy stream of rumors and leaks, most of these details will be of little surprise. That being said, the Nexus 5 is now official and those who had been waiting -- will be able to move forward with a purchase.
October 31 has arrived and while we have yet to hear anything from Google on the Nexus 5, that doesn't mean the leaks will be quieting down any. In fact, some new images have recently surfaced. And nicely, this time around we are getting some crisp, clear high-resolution shots to gawk at. These pics are of the internals and have been shared by the folks at FanaticFone.
Nexus 5 images have surfaced, though, this time around the images appear to be of some dummy units. This latest round includes four five images (and growing) in total and while it is hard to say 100% these are dummy units, we can say they appear to be that. Unfortunately they are being posted with little in terms of explanation. Not to mention, they have appeared on relatively low followed and low tweeted Twitter account, which only adds to the reasons to be skeptical.
unboxing image out of Ireland and now it looks like we have a Nexus 5 sighting coming out of Taiwan. This latest doesn't appear to be a final model, but instead an earlier prototype model. That being said, this one has come by way of the NCC, which is similar to what the US has with the FCC.
Nexus 5 along with Android 4.4 Kit Kat on October 31 or November 1 and in the meantime, another handset image has surfaced. This one is slightly blurry and comes with little extra in terms of details, however it does appear to line up with earlier leaks.
Nexus 5 leaks and rumors are not going to stop until we have an official announcement. Google has yet to offer anything in terms of when we can expect the event to take place, however we have seen what is believed to be a bit of teasing coming from Vic Gundotra. That all aside, while the rumors are suggesting an October 31 or November 1 availability, there has been a few more listings that appeared today.
Google+ page. Sometimes he even shares some images that reveal minor details of unannounced products. That one came last year when he shared images taken with a Nexus 10 tablet ahead of the official announcement. More recently though, Gundotra took to G+ with a few comments that have once again fueled the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 rumors.
Android 4.4 Kit Kat arriving on October 25, it looks like the Nexus 5 may be arriving in the Play Store at the end of October. We have yet to see the mass of press invites go out to the media, however it is starting to look like Kit Kat and the Nexus 5 are still going to arrive in October as had been rumored. And interestingly enough, it is looking like they are both going to arrive on different days.
Samsung and ASUS have been rumored for the next-generation Nexus 10. Samsung did make the model currently available, however rumors seem to be pointing towards an ASUS branded Nexus 10 coming this year. Most of the chatter has been around the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 Kit Kat, though we are hoping to see the Nexus 10 unveiled at the next Google event.
