Today is July 1st and we can look forward to tons and tons of great news in the world of Android this month. Just like the past week, July will also be all about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. A lot happened in the Android Community last week but we were pretty busy with a small event I'm sure you all heard plenty about -- Google IO 2012. Google Nexus 7 hands-on

We're here at Google IO where Google has just announced their first Nexus branded tablet. The Nexus 7 was unveiled during the keynote complete with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and we have one already for our own hands-on and unboxing. It's finally official! Google has just announced the next Nexus to join the growing Nexus family. We've heard and seen rumors for months and months but today they've cleared it all up. Officially being called the Nexus 7. Check out the official specs below.

Android Community Weekly: June 24th, 2012

This week was all about the Galaxy S III here in the US. T-Mobile and AT&T both unleashed the flagship smartphone into the wild, although only in limited supply, and the masses can now enjoy Samsung's latest creation. Next week however will be all about Google I/O. By the end of next week we'll hopefully be talking about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and beyond.

Google’s Nexus 7-inch tablet ready to ship according to rumors

Google's big developer event is starting next week and we are all giddy with excitement here at Android Community about what all they'll announce. One that will surely be a big part of the news is the rumored Nexus Tablet. Today the folks from DigiTimes have released more details (rumors) claiming the device is actually shipping now, is ready to rock, and Google will in fact start selling it early next month.

Google Nexus 7 tablet takes photos – appear online

Some more rumors are hitting the wires today about Google's upcoming Nexus Tablet. We've been hearing details and rumors for a few months now but today we might have caught a break. Some photos have appeared on Picasa hinting that the device is indeed real, and snapping photos from inside Google's headquarters.
