Galaxy Nexus delayed because of Google Wallet conflict

After Verizon Wireless partnered with ISIS to support their future NFC payment service, there was skepticism whether or not this was indeed the reason Google Wallet was to be unsupported on the Galaxy Nexus. It turns out this little feature may be the cause for the seemingly infinite delays, and until Verizon and Google sort it out - we may not see the Nexus on shelves. A source over at Phandroid mentioned the new target date for the Galaxy Nexus will be December 15th, but don't get excited quite yet.

Last night we had a glimpse at a Best Buy flyer that may have been quite outdated. It seems Samsung has now confirmed the U.S. launch of device will certainly be in December. I'm sorry folks, but there is still no word on the actual day or price. The DROID RAZR debuted on Verizon for $299.99, so my guess is it will be fairly similar.

The Verizon branded Samsung Galaxy Nexus seems to have surfaced in a leak from a Best Buy flier. Best Buy terms the Galaxy Nexus as part of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone line, and even calls it the "Samsung Nexus Prime". It seems silly that Best Buy would leave out T-Mobile's Galaxy S II and even the AT&T Skyrocket in the flier. Whether or not it will still be called the Galaxy Nexus by other carriers is still unknown.

Who is ready for some Galaxy Nexus action? Apparently the folks from Amazon UK are ready to start the party because they've already posted up pre-orders for the Galaxy Nexus. We saw some order pages go up earlier this week but I get a better feeling ordering from Amazon than some smaller sites, not to mention they have a release date of November 2nd.

Good news for aspiring Galaxy Nexus owners: Samsung may intend to bring the phone to every single major American carrier, and at least three regional carriers as well. A new sign-up page has appeared at Samsung's store, directing US customers to list a carrier preference. Seven carriers are listed, including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile.

Whoa, Nelly! Verizon's list of upcoming devices has leaked, and it includes a couple of names that should turn heads. Both the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the HTC Rezound are listed at $299 with advertisements beginning on November 10th. Between this Droid-Life leak and a good bit of earlier info, this leaves little doubt that both devices will find there way onto Verizon's shelves next month.

Not that you needed reminding, but the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is coming soon, and now Verizon's internal device management software is offering a last bit of confirmation. The Galaxy Nexus (AKA the Nexus Prime) has been spotted in Verizon's database, alongside the HTC Rezound (AKA the Vigor). No dates are available for either phone, but both have been confirmed as having Verizon 4G LTE radios.

Who is finally ready for some Ice Cream? Just hitting the wires we now can officially confirm that Google and Samsung are all set to unveil the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich next week on Wednesday, October 19th in Hong Kong at 10AM. Yes the Samsung Mobile unpacked that was canceled last minute will now take place next week, so the wait is only 6 more days. I'm giddy with excitement, what about you guys?
