Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates to Nexus S phones on select carriers Friday night, but unfortunately earlier in the week the company announced that it was having some trouble keeping 16GB Nexus 7 tablets in stock. As a result, the 16GB Nexus 7s now have an estimated delivery time of 3-4 weeks when shipping from the Google Play Store, so unless you're okay with picking up an 8GB model instead, you might be left waiting for a Nexus 7.
Nexus 7 tablet from Google and ASUS is a mighty fine tablet. Especially considering it only runs users $199 for such an awesome device. We love ours and you can see for yourself in our full review. Sadly it appears that like many products, a few users are having defects from manufacturing. We are hearing multiple reports that the Nexus 7 screen is separating from the body, or lifting up causing it to creak a little.
Nexus 7 on the Google Play Store. Previously it was listed for pre-order and "shipping in 1-2 weeks." Today however Google's changed that to actually "In Stock" and that it will ship instantly. This is only the 8GB version, as the 16GB actual got pushed back from 1-2 weeks to 3-4 weeks earlier today.
Nexus 7 is finally landing in users hands this week (and late last week too.) Now that you've got an impressive 7-inch tablet with a powerful NVIDIA quad-core processor under the hood we figured you'd like to know of a few games worth checking out. Here's some of our absolute favorites that work great on the Nexus 7.
Nexus 7 tablet to those who ordered from the Play Store. Along with several retailers like Gamestop, Staples, and Sam's Club. Today however Google's own Play Store has now changed their shipping status for the 16GB version from 1 week, to 3-4 weeks.
Nexus 7 tablet, and it appears this week might sing a similar tune. The tablet started shipping from a few UK retailers early last week, then hit the U.S. in a flood from Staples, Gamestop, and then Google. They confirmed all pre-orders would ship within 3 business days. Today however the same could be starting for the UK.
Nexus 7 tablet is slowly making its way to the hands of consumers, it has been getting a few software updates. Last week Google updated it to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, and today it has another quick (but very small) software OTA rolling out as of last night. The changes seem minimal but this is surely a good sign.
Nexus 7 tablet started shipping out to all those patient (and some impatient) customers on Friday, but that's only some of the news. Head below for your weekly brief.
Nexus 7 tablet has officially launched today. It started shipping yesterday from various UK retailers, Gamestop in the US started sending out confirmations that those who pre-ordered could pick theirs up, and Google's Play Store has begun shipping all pre-orders as of this afternoon. We are now seeing multiple retailers and sites across the US already selling out -- which is a good sign for Google but a bad sign if you haven't ordered one yet.
