Nexus 7 8GB “sold out” on the Google Play Store [Update: Back]
While we don't know exactly what type of sales numbers Google and ASUS have seen with their new Nexus 7 tablet, we expect them to be great. With such an amazing device all for the low price of $199 how can it not sell? After it sold out just about everywhere initially back in July, we are now seeing it sell out on the Google Play Store too.

Nexus 7 overclocked to 1.64 GHz, destroys benchmarks
Those awesome Android developers never let up when it comes to the cutting edge. Take the Nexus 7 for example. It rocks the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and packs plenty of power. Thanks to a few of our favorite developers and kernel builders we now have it overclocked to nearly 1.7 GHz, and destroying everything on the market in terms of benchmarks. More details to get started yourself below.

Study: Google’s Nexus 7 camping ad more effective than Apple ads
Here's an interesting study that sure to stoke the flames of this Android vs. iOS war: analytics company Ace Metrix has determined that Google's first Nexus 7 television spot has been more warmly-received than Apple's Genius ad campaign. For those who haven't checked them out yet, Google's Nexus 7 ad centers around a father and son as they use the 7-inch tablet on a camping trip, while Apple's campaign focuses on an Apple Genius as he helps ordinary consumers realize just how great Macs are. Both have been getting a lot of airtime because of the Olympics, so there's a good chance you've already caught a glimpse of them.

Nexus 7 becomes in-dash entertainment system [Video]
What you are about to see is quite possibly the most amazing in-dash entertainment system I've ever seen. Double din stereos for cars or trucks are nice, but none have the amazing finishing touches of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The popular online electronics reseller Sonic Electronix has just posted an epic video of one of their installers making a custom Nexus 7 stereo system. What's even better is the tablet can leave the vehicle too.

Nexus 7 keyboard dock and accessories coming soon from ASUS
The new Nexus 7 tablet might not be a Transformer Prime but that doesn't mean it won't be getting its own keyboard. If some new reports coming from Mobilefun are accurate we'll be getting a bluetooth keyboard dock, smart cases, screen protectors and more all officially licensed for the Nexus 7.

An iPad Mini could crash the Nexus 7 party
We've been hearing lots of reports that the folks from Cupertino are planning an iPad Mini. From Bloomberg and the New York Times, to our sister site SlashGear. Apparently Apple will be releasing a cheaper, smaller 7-inch iPad Mini later this year to better compete with Android. Could an iPad Mini crash the Nexus 7 party that's been going on all month? Doubtful -- but lets talk about it anyways.

Official Nexus 7 dock and accessories leaked
ASUS and Google's new Nexus 7 tablet is all the rave right now, and with good reason. Sadly we don't have any official accessories for the tablet other than the case we took a look at last night. Some new photos revealed by Nordic Hardware shows that we're about to get some nice accessories to go along with our tablets.

Who wants a case for that shiny new Nexus 7? When Google announced their much anticipated Nexus 7 tablet at Google IO it immediately went up for pre-order on their Play Store. Along with it was an official case that sold out in a matter of minute and has since been listed as "coming soon."
