AT&T continues the 4G LTE rollout with 10 new markets

The folks from AT&T have been touting that lightning fast 4G LTE network lately, and this morning they've confirmed another 10 markets and locations are getting the green light for faster speeds. After initially launching their 4G LTE network expansion later than Verizon, they've been pretty busy upgrading their coverage, and today's no different. We have the full list below.

AT&T takes charge of Cricket, buys Leap Wireless for $1.19 billion

The folks from AT&T have just dropped a big piece of news. That being the company has purchased Leap Wireless for the tune of around $1.19 billion in cash. Leap Wireless, better known as Cricket in many parts of the US, is one of the largest telecommunications network in the US aside from the bigger names. Could this be the big news they were teasing for next week?

AT&T aims for Verizon with launch of 35 new 4G LTE markets

This morning AT&T had some pretty big news to announce regarding their network upgrades. It has been a while since we've seen an update of this size, and today they confirmed they'll be switching on 35 new 4G LTE markets. With Verizon announcing last week they already hit their goal to have nearly all 3G covered with 4G by the end of 2013, AT&T is turning up the heat.

T-Mobile acquires US Cellular AWS Spectrum to further expand LTE reach

T-Mobile is currently in the process of acquiring 10MHz of AWS (Advanced Wireless Services) spectrum from US Cellular. This is said to be a cash deal for $308 million and it will help T-Mobile further expand the reach of their 4G LTE network. This acquisition is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2013 and the spectrum covers some of the Mississippi Valley Region.

AT&T 4G LTE further expands across six states

AT&T has once again returned with some news on the 4G LTE expansions. This time around the new LTE coverage is coming for those in a handful of markets across six states. Those six states include Arkansas, California, Georgia, Minnesota, North Dakota and Ohio. Basically, if you happen to have coverage available -- now seems like a good time to make sure you have an LTE handset at the ready.

AT&T 4G LTE network expands across nine states

Coming just one day after the last LTE expansion news, AT&T has dropped word of another expansion. This time around we are seeing coverage expand across nine states. The amount of coverage will vary from state to state, however this latest list includes Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon and South Dakota.
