This may revitalize the use of landlines. Today, most of us use our mobile devices exclusively for our telecommunications needs. Personally I haven't used my landline in years, it’s just there as a backup. This home unit is a beauty and nobody will ever know it’s a landline (unless you take it too far and it drops your call). The hopes of some users for this to land on T-Mobile has been squashed (for now). Dell are in talks with AT&T to offer the Mini 5 on their network  possibly subsidized. The Mini 5 will indeed be compatible with the Android Market and there is a strong possibility for future Dell tablets to choose resistive screens over capacitive.

JIT – now making your Donut build twice as fast.
is a method of converting bytecode into native machine code, rather than Android’s Dalvik VM simply interpreting the bytecode. This speeds up apps and overall performance drastically. Cyanogen’s Nexus One build Beta 3 included JIT and has set the top speed on BenchmarkPi; OpenEclair 1.0.1 included JIT and absolutely flew.

Looks like PDAnet has some competition now. For the longest they have been the most popular way to tether your Android device without the need for root. Now enters EasyTether. This app works for MOST Android phones, but has been discovered to not be ramped up for 4G phones thus far. We're crossing our fingers really, really hard for this app to work with faster speeds in the future. For now though, 3G.
