T-Mobile Officially Announced myTouch 4G

The rumors we heard earlier this week were true, T-Mobile is set to release it's upcoming myTouch on November 3rd. Named the myTouch 4G to reflect it's ability to be used on T-Mobiles HSPA+ network and will launch for $199 with a 2-year contract.

Just since yesterday when the T-Mobie myTouch ROM was leaked, there's been a little treasure chest full of goodies uncovered! A kind fellow from the crew over at Android Central, Jerry Hildenbrand, has prepared a file download with a few wallpapers pulled from the ROM, available for download on 4Shared - be sure you click the BLUE download button, wait the 20 seconds, then click the Download file now button. Then there's more treats! More, you say? What could I possibly want more than a zebra background image?

T-Mobile USA WiFi calling is coming to Android

T-Mobile USA has announced that it will be rolling out WiFi calling to select models in its line-up of Android smartphones "in the coming months," allowing the handsets to route voice calls over WiFi rather than cellular networks.  The T-Mobile myTouch, Motorola DEFY and other devices will be able to make calls and send SMS messages via WiFi, using Kineto’s Smart Wi-Fi Application. All Phones At T-Mobile Will Be Free on June 19th?

We’ve been waiting and digging for more information on what will happen on the 19th. Most of us thought it would be the introduction of the Nexus One into stores or Android 2.2 for the Slide. Well, the promotion is indirectly Android related. The latest rumor has T-Mobile conducting a one day promotion where every phone in their inventory will be free.
