Huawei MyTouch for T-Mobile spotted at FCC
After months of speculation and guessing, recently posted docs from the FCC show that Huawei and T-Mobile will be introducing the new MyTouch. Though not a lot of information is given, there are some basic specs that are given for the approval. These include supporting the 850/1700/1900 UMTS bands, Bluetooth and Wi-fi.

T-Mobile myTouch 4G and myTouch 4G Slide updates rolling out
First things first, no this is not Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. We do have some decent news though and that is the T-Mobile HTC myTouch 4G and myTouch 4G Slide smartphones are getting an over the air update this week, and users should be getting it any time now. This doesn't update to the latest OS but does bring plenty of fixes and improvement so stay tuned for more details.

LG myTouch and myTouch Q spotted in the wild
We have seen plenty of the new myTouch and myTouch Q from LG lately and it was only a matter of time until they started leaking to the wild, and today is the day. We now have a few photos of the myTouch by LG spotted in the wild hanging out, and they aren't even all that blurrycam style either. Officially announced last week both devices should be available on T-Mobile before the holidays, check out the pictures below.

T-Mobile Will Offer In-Store Gingerbread Update For myTouch 4G on August 5th
In case you have missed it or are not paying much attention the upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the T-Mobile myTouch 4G is now available and rolling out. The update started on the 20th and should be hitting handsets all week long. T-Mobile is now going to offer in-store updates for those worried about doing it themselves starting August 5th.

We have some good news for all you myTouch 4G users. Today T-Mobile and HTC have finally started rolling out the update for Android 2.3 Gingerbread for your device. The T-Mobile support page mentions that a limited number of test devices will start getting the update today, July 20th, with more users receiving the OTA update in the "coming weeks".

What we've got here is, let me tell you straight out, HTC's greatest effort to date. This device takes the myTouch 3G Slide aside for a heart-to-heart, telling it that it's time to leave because the boss has arrived. A slide-out QWERTY keyboard under a 3.7 Super LCD display all around a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and the greatest photo and video setup yet produced on a smartphone. Interested yet? Oh you lovers of the insides of phones, today is one of those good days. Good days for the HTC involved, that is, as several phones have had their Android source codes released via HTC's Developer Center per their agreement that they'll do so no matter what they're doing with Android, an open-source project. The phones on the block to be chopped and screwed are the myTouch 4G, Desire Z, Aria, and Desire HD. If you're a fan of any of those, we're looking at you myTouch 4G fans, we encourage you to explore the code and bring the community some lovely tidbits that we might feast upon them with joy.

Due to the collaborative efforts of a slew of XDA Developers forum members, unforgiven512, scotty2, tmzt, IntuitiveNipple, and grankin01, you are now able to permaroot your lovely myTouch 4G. All you've got to do is follow the directions and BE CAREFUL or you will have a BRICK of pure, hot, technology, just waiting to be tossed in the garbage. And before you get down to the directions and eventually take a hammer to your phone, remember to reminisce on all the good times you had with it.
