Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ hands-on

As you may have seen from our earlier post, Lenovo announced the next-generation of the Yoga Tablet line here at Mobile World Congress. This latest is dubbed the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ and as the 'HD+' in the name would suggest, one of the key items was an updated display. There is a 10-inch Full HD IPS display at 1920 x 1200. In comparison, the previous generation Yoga Tablet 10 sat at 1280 x 800.

Lenovo DOit app suite hands-on

Along with the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+, Lenovo also introduced a suite of apps. This is the DOit suite of apps, and there will be five in total. While the apps were unveiled along with the tablet, they will also be appearing on other Lenovo devices, including those currently available. Furthermore, they will also work with other devices. To that last point, our hands-on time with the apps included a Moto X.

Lenovo is updating their Yoga Tablet 10, this time offering a better screen. The Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is Lenovo’s newest handheld, building on their already impressive Yoga family of products. In addition, Lenovo is rolling out a new lineup of apps for their smartphones and tablets.

LG G2 mini hands-on

Revealed just days ahead of Mobile World Congress, LG is showing the G2 mini. The handset sits with a 4.7-inch display, which does have us questioning the use of the word 'mini' a bit. But regardless of the name, the LG G2 mini seems to be a slightly smaller and less powerful version of the G2.

LG G Pro 2 hands-on

The LG G Pro 2 was unveiled earlier in the month. That initial unveil was only for one market, Korea, however LG is showing the handset here at Mobile World Congress. As a refresher, LG has this one loaded with a 5.9-inch IPS LCD display. And for those wondering, the display appears to be bright and clear. LG also brought over those rear-facing buttons.

Huawei smartwatch spotted en route to MWC 2014

Rumors had been suggesting Huawei was planning to unveil a smartwatch during Mobile World Congress, and while we have yet to see the announcement, we have gotten a brief look at the watch. En route to Spain, Android Community spotted the watch on an unnamed person from Huawei. We weren't close enough to get a super detailed image, however what we could see does fit in with the image that leaked earlier.

Galaxy S5 case listing shows likely release date for new handset

The Galaxy S5, which should be released at MWC, is expected to bring on some changes for the Samsung Galaxy lineup. Via Amazon, we may get a few more hints at just when we’ll be able to have our hands on the handset as well. We also see some interesting design cues, if the displayed image is the S5 as we’ll receive it.

MWC 2014: Expectations for Nokia, Samsung, HTC, and the rest

MWC kicks off today, and for fans of mobile technology — this is as good as it gets. Save for Apple and Google, other major players in the mobile technology sector make some big announcements at MWC. Even when we don't get a big unveil, it's often the first time we get the chance to go hands-on with newer devices. What good things will come from this year’s week-long conference? We don’t know just yet, but we have an idea.
