Google reportedly ditching the large scale booth for MWC 2013

Rumor has it that Google will not be offering the same booth experience at Mobile World Congress this year. In fact, it is being reported that Google France has confirmed the lack of a booth during the show. Needless to say, we are not all that convinced Google will be offering anything less as compared to what they had last year.

Huawei Ascend P2 image leaks ahead of MWC reveal

Just like the weeks before CES, we're now getting close to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and we're already starting to see leaks. Huawei is at it again and today the first press image has leaked for their upcoming 1080p super-slim smartphone. Their Ascend D2 was shown off at CES, but MWC it'll be all about the new Ascend P2 with its 13 megapixel camera and 1.8 GHz quad-core processor.

The past week or so we've been hearing quite a lot regarding Samsung's upcoming tablet plan to kick off 2013. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is what we are talking about of course. Multiple tips, leaks, and rumors have surfaced showing a device in the works that is clearly aimed at taking on Apple's popular iPad mini. While many think the iPad mini was an answer to the Nexus 7, Samsung still plans to fight tooth and nail for the space.

Opera Ice promises to put mobile Chrome browser on notice

Opera Software has revealed its next generation browser, and you know we wouldn't be talking about it here on Android Community if it didn't have something to do with mobile devices. Introduced today over on Pocket-Lint, Opera Ice is a new mobile browser targeted at iOS and Android. Opera has seen the need for change in the mobile browser space, and plans to use Ice as a means of implementing that change.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 tipped for reveal at MWC 2013

While Samsung may have the high-end Android market on lock down between its Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, the company obviously realizes that there all kinds of smartphone users out there. While some care most about technical specifications, there are others who care more about durability. Samsung's original Galaxy Xcover was one such durable smartphone, and today we're hearing rumors of a follow up, aptly named the Galaxy Xcover 2.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus image and specs revealed

It looks as if another Samsung smartphone has been revealed. Though, this reveal comes ahead of any official announcement. What we have are details on the Galaxy Pocket Plus, a rather low-end device. Not to mention, a rather small device. And as the pocket in the name would imply, the Galaxy Pocket Plus will have one perk -- it should fit easily in just about any sized pocket.
