Today HP has announced a new 7-inch Android tablet that they hope will take on the Nexus 7, and other budget friendly slates. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 hands-on: Phone features included

After all the leaks and rumors today the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is finally official. Samsung just revealed their new daring 8-inch tablet, and we have all the details. Live in Barcelona for MWC we've already got our paws all over it. We'd rather not call this a phablet, but this truly is because its got full phone and voice features included. We might not get the phone model in the US, at least not initially, but read on for all the details.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 appears at MWC

Thanks to an anonymous source, we've received an image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 being previewed at the Mobile World Congress. The image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 was placed on a digital board at Samsung's booth. The Galaxy Note 8.0 looks like its going to be the focal point at Samsung's booth this year, seeing as they're not planning on announcing the Samsung Galaxy S IV until the middle of March, where they'll be holding their own press event.

Live from MWC 2013: What to expect

We've just landed here in Barcelona, Spain, and are getting ready for what will surely be one of the biggest mobile events of the year. As usual this annual event promises the most smartphones, tablets, mobile devices and apps all combined in one place for all the excitement you can handle. While there will probably be a few surprises from the show, we know it'll be all about Android, Android, 1080p, quad-core and 8 core processors, and of course more Android.

ASUS teases the “next mobile transformation” ahead of MWC

ASUS has posted the first of what appears to be a series of Mobile World Congress teaser videos. This video has been dubbed the ASUS MWC 2013 Teaser I and is throwing around phrases like "ultimate craftsmanship" and "metallic miracle." While the video is on the shorter side and doesn't directly answer any questions as to what we can expect to see, ASUS has said that this will be "when the Pad and Phone come together" and that we should watch as they unleash the "next mobile transformation."

LG apparently has something exciting in the works for Mobile world Congress. Or maybe more accurately, judging from the level of teasing, we hope they have something exciting because if not, there could be some backlash. In the past few days we have seen an image teaser and a video teaser. The image appeared first and came with the promise of a "new series" of mobile phones with an “unexpected distinction.”
