LG Optimus Vu revealed with stylus and LTE
LG has officially revealed the LG Optimus Vu, the company's new flagship for MWC 2012 next week and its stylus-toting challenge to Samsung's Galaxy Note. Based around an iPad-matching 1024 x 768 resolution, 4:3 aspect display, the 5-inch Optimus Vu "phablet" uses a 650 nits IPS LCD panel for better outdoor visibility, and comes with a stylus for annotating documents, drawing sketches and making handwritten notes in LG's Memo app.

Three new Samsung phones show up in Wifi certification

The Samsung Galaxy S III may still be a long way off, but you can satiate you gadget lust with a trio of new phones revealed by the Wi-Fi certification website. Ameblo (1, 2, 3) spotted all three and grabbed them off the web - good on ya, guys. The phones have model numbers SGH-T999, SGH-I535 and SPH-L710. There's not much information on the phones as far as release goes, but there is a little info to be gleaned from the specifications in the certification listings.

Google plans Android booth at Mobile World Congress 2012
It's that time of year again: the wind blows cold, cheeks grow rosy, and couples grow close to conserve warmth... and share their love of brand new phones and tablets. Mobile World Congress 2012 is just nine days and (for yours truly at least) several thousand miles away. Google doesn't intend to let its hardware partners have all the fun: once again it'll be in attendance with a massive Android-themed booth for the Barcelona conference. The company will likely use the space to show off the latest and greatest in hardware, a few Ice Cream Sandwich features, and probably some new devices as well, once they're announced at their various press conferences.

Barcelona Spain is the home to million and millions of people but for a week or so it is the biggest mobile event in the world. Something we all know and love as Mobile World Congress. This is where we see the latest and greatest devices for the mobile markets but this year we might have some trouble. The main public transport operator in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, the TMB and their workers have planned a strike during the middle of MWC 2012. HTC One X full specifications leaked before MWC

We've been drooling over the newly-christened HTC One X (formerly the Endeavor and/or Edge) for months now, due in no small part to its ultra high-end rumored specifications. Paul "Modaco" O'Brien has got a mostly complete list of specifications from a tipster, including all the nitty gritty details you've been wondering about. First of all, the shiniest jewel in the One X's crown is a quad-core Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia, which should help the phone rocket to the top of the speed charts if nothing else. The Tegra 3 runs at 1.5Ghz, and is supplimented with a full gigabyte of RAM.

As the week continues it appears that HTC's new naming scheme is all but confirmed. Yesterday we reported that the new names for a few of their upcoming devices were the HTC One X and the One S. Today new details have also leaked mentioning a third device to be announced at Mobile World Congress. Previously known as the HTC Primo this Beats Audio focused phone will be the HTC One V.

LG's next high-end smartphone has been leaked and name dropped a few times but today we have received a full slew of specs, and screenshots that basically confirms all previous reports and rumors. Following its older sibling the LG G2x and the Optimus 2x we are now hearing they'll be releasing the LG X3 quad-core Tegra 3 smartphone soon. While that isn't new, the full specs and screenshots below are brand new.

Some new screenshots and details have appeared, confirming that Samsung has prepped and will be announcing the Galaxy Note 10.1 at Mobile World Congress later this month. Yes a 10" Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung's developer day announcement and invitation calmly mentions the Galaxy Note 10.1" along with S-pen SDK, the Wave 3 and a few other non Android devices. We've been hearing a lot regarding HTC's upcoming smartphones slated to be unveiled in a few weeks at Mobile World Congress, and with good reason. They'll be debuting their new and first quad-core device in what we are now hearing will be called the HTC One X. Previous reports and leaks called this phone the HTC Edge and Endeavor but the official retail name will be the One X.

Have you ever snapped the perfect picture only to have it ruined by someone walking in the frame, or wanted to take an ex out of that awesome picture from your vacation? Well now you can with a new feature from the photo technology firm Scalado, called Scalado Remove. Their app is being called the world’s first optical removal software for smartphones. It builds a composite shot from multiple frames captured in swift succession, picking out possible flaws – such as passing cars or people – then lets you delete them with a tap of the screen.
