Motorola XFON clears the FCC on way to AT&T
Things are starting to get interesting regarding Motorola's upcoming smartphone lineup. We've been waiting to see what Motorola and Google cook up together, and today that may have been revealed in an FCC filing. The device is being listed as the Motorola XT1058 with 4G LTE and headed to AT&T. Most likely this is the X-Phone (or XFON) and more details on why can be found below.

With only a few days left before Google's annual developer event Google I/O kicks off, we're starting to hear some bad news regarding the Motorola X-Phone. While most of the reports have only been rumors, last night some analyst reports suggested Google has actually axed the X-Phone. Claiming that Google is distancing themselves from the phone simply because it isn't up to their standards.

Yesterday we finally received what could be our first look at the highly talked about and rumored Motorola X-Phone being jointly designed by Google. The always accurate @evleaks dropped a trio of images showing an unreleased mystery Motorola phone with a protective case hiding the design. And now, we have some additional details suggesting an arrival on Verizon, and others in early July.

Don't get too excited folks, because most likely this is completely fake given how easy it is to tweak benchmark tests. According to some new screenshots that are floating around those dark corners of the web, Motorola's famed X-Phone has been spotted being called the Google X, and running the popular AnTuTu benchmark test. We'll take this with a massive grain of salt, that's for sure.

The Motorola X-Phone doesn't look like it is going to be ready for a Google I/O unveil, however based on new reports, it is looking like the handset will be available in a variety of colors. In fact, according to the latest, the X-Phone could be available in as many as 20 colors. While the color options may be abundant, it is also now being reported that the X-Phone is not going to be as customizable as once thought.

We're starting to see a few more reports this afternoon regarding Motorola and Google's rumored X-Phone device, but the information certainly isn't good news. While the X-Phone hasn't even been remotely confirmed we've been hearing rumors about a May reveal and June release date for well over the past month. If the phone is real, word on the street is it has now been delayed.

What is said to be a render of the yet-to-be-announced Motorola X-Phone has surfaced. The image render comes along with some specs, however while we would like this to be the real deal -- there is reason to be skeptical. If nothing else, judging from the fact we have another render and another set of leaked specs for the X-Phone, it is looking like this is a handset people are anxious to see announced.

With all the wild rumors floating around regarding the next Motorola smartphone, or the X-Phone, we might as well get the rumor mill started up again today. Motorola's recently hired Advisor, and former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki just gave us a head start. After rumors suggesting the X-Phone could be customizable at the Play Store while ordering, Guy's now teasing that very idea.
