Motorola Triumph

HTC Status Free and Motorola Triumph $250 this week at Target

It's no mistake that we've got more than a couple posts each week regarding Target Superstore, it's just logical - yours truly lives in the heart of the beast, the birthplace of Target itself, Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota. The ad you see below was photographed inside the Target which sits on the very ground where the first Target in the world once stood (unfortunately it was terrible, apparently, and they had to knock it down to make way for a much better building to house Target once again.) Wild! Now that you've got the facts, let's talk about these devices on sale: three of them are running Android and all three of them have a deal attached.

Motorola TRIUMPH Review [on Virgin Mobile]

Here's a Motorola candybar you're not going to want to miss. This is the first Motorola device to be carried by Virgin Mobile, and the biggest and by far the most impressive Android handset you're going to be able to purchase off-contract for under $300. Not only that, this device is unlike most Motorola devices in that it's not running Motorola Motoblur, a user interface that we've been told by many of our community members is certainly not their favorite. Instead you're going to get a Vanilla (aka essentially untouched) look at Android 2.2 FroYo. Is it a winner?

Motorola TRIUMPH Hands-On and Unboxing

Welcome to the greatest device ever to come sailing in on a pair of skis with a boombox attached to its knees - that's right, it's an Android and it's on Virgin Mobile and yes, it's Vanilla! That means that Motorola, in this case, hasn't added very much if ANY sorts of modifications over the stock Android made by Google, that meaning here that it's FroYo like it was meant to be seen. This phone, it's also important to mention, is carried by Virgin Mobile which means you're going to be able to purchase it completely off-contract.

Motorola Triumph $299 at Best Buy for Pre-Order

Everyone's favorite no-contract device is coming on quick, and its price has been revealed today by Best Buy, everyone's favorite retailer! It's been guessed previously that this device would be sub-$300 and it looks like that guess was right - though BARELY. Best Buy will have this device on the 19th of July (that's their estimated shipping date), this lining up perfectly with the previous "leak" of information that pointed toward the same date without a source for purchase.

Virgin Mobile Wants to Sell Virgin Android

And by virgin we mean untouched by hardware manufacturers! A spokesperson for Virgin Mobile has declared their commitment to the freedom that Android users love oh so much, through the selling of stock Android devices. While some legitimately enjoy the added features of skins like Sense and TouchWiz, many of us will tell you our favorite flavor of Android is vanilla.

Motorola TRIUMPH Hands-On – for Virgin Mobile this Summer, runs stock Android

At their big event in NYC today, Motorola announced a slew of devices and one in particular is the Motorola Triumph coming to Virgin Mobile this summer. This is the first Motorola device offered by Virgin Mobile and they look to be pushing for more high end phones on their pre-paid network with the launch of this phone. Did I mention it runs stock Android 2.2 Froyo with no Moto Blur.

Motorola TRIUMPH Announced

What lies beneath is the first really fantastic Android device offered by Motorola for Virgin Mobile. In fact it's the first Motorola device EVER offered on the carrier, so your ears should be perking up if you're a fan of the big white-teeth grin, if you know what I mean. Virgin Mobile is known for its flexibility, and the TRIUMPH is no exception, coming in on a no contract plan. The specs on this device certainly don't win it any big favors for those looking for the race-winners, but there certainly are some surprises waiting for you inside.
