Motorola DROID 4 renders don’t make the wait any easier
By all accounts, lots and lots of original Motorola DROID owners have upgraded to Verizon's Galaxy Nexus now that many of them are past their two-year upgrade point. But there's still something to be said for physical keyboards, and those waiting for a high-end QWERTY phone have been largely ignored on Verizon for the last several months. The DROID 4 has been eagerly awaited by those wishing for some LTE goodness mixed with RAZR styling, but the latest rumored date (yesterday) didn't pan out. In the meantime, have a gander at these renders dug up by Droid Life, covering every digital millimeter of the upcoming phone.

Motorola DROID 4 launch date pushed until February 2, 2012
To be honest, this shouldn't be a surprise. The Galaxy Nexus was postponed for more than a month, and we all figured the Motorola DROID 4 wouldn't see a pre-holiday release 3 days before Christmas. It was rumored we may see the device tomorrow, but evidence was still thin. Now we have some concrete info from a Verizon document stating a February 2, 2012 launch date.

DROID 4 pops up on DROID DOES, could land in stockings December 22nd
We'd previously heard that Motorola's 4th generation DROID was scheduled to be released on December 8th, a day before Verizon was to finally push out the Galaxy Nexus. Neither of those dates bore any fruit, and while the Nexus released just a week later, the DROID 4 is still nowhere to be found. According to another of Droid Life's internal Verizon leaks, the phone is currently headed for a December 22nd release, just two days from now. Considering the amount of PR and other information that's already leaked, this certainly seems plausible.

Yesterday Verizon had an embarrassing hiccup in its nationwide 3G and 4G LTE service, with no prospective time for repair. Well, reports are coming in that service has been restored around the country, including the Midwest, where the outage was particularly severe. But there may have been at least one casualty: the Motorola DROID 4, which was set to release today in various internal documents.

Motorola DROID 4 visits the FCC
In what seems like the usual fashion lately for Motorola and Verizon we are about to witness another DROID powered smartphone hit shelves. Although the DROID 3 hasn't been out but a few short months Verizon and Moto have a fully prepped and ready to go DROID 4 already in the pipes. If it feels like Motorola and Verizon have been churning out devices like mad lately -- it's because they have been.

Motorola DROID 4 poses for the camera along side the XYBOARD tablets
Motorola and Verizon aren't wasting any time this holiday season and are about to unleash another full lineup of DROID's on the world. We know they are coming but lately more pictures have popped out of both the DROID 4 with its 5 row QWERTY keyboard, and the new DROID XYBOARD tablets (Xoom 2). Today we get a closer look at all of these devices, especially the slightly newer DROID 4.

Are you QWERTY lovers feeling left out of the superphone game as of late? Well if you're on Verizon or intend to go there soon, you may have reason to to celebrate in a couple of weeks. According to yet another internal Verizon leak, the fourth generation of the original Motorola Droid is due Thursday, December 8th online and in retail stores. The device keeps the slider functionality of the primary DROID line, but throws in some more recent Motorola styling and Verizon LTE.

Motorola DROID 4 leaked in spy shots
Don't pull the trigger on that new DROID RAZR just yet, at least if you're a fan of the original DROID's slide-out keyboard. Spy shots of the inevitable DROID 4 have just surfaced, with the newfangled tapered look that Motorola's been favoring lately. The device features a 4-inch screen, like the DROID 3, but considering the timing, it might just have the newer Super AMOLED standard, again, like the DROID RAZR.

Motorola DROID 4 codenamed “Maserati” and will have 4G LTE [Rumor]
I must admit the codename "Maserati" gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside, although I'm not too big on slide out QWERTY keyboard smartphones. What we have here is a rumor so feel free to take this with a grain of salt. According to a few members of HowardForums the next device in the DROID slider evolution will be the DROID4 and is codenamed "Maserati". They mention a few other things but first check out the awesome car below.
