Motorola Droid 2: Live Images and First Impressions
The Motorola Droid 2 is one of the most widely leaked devices in recent history, but that's not a bad thing. It built up plenty of anticipation for the device. Which can only go to help the sales of the true successor to the original Droid, which launched late last year, especially considering Verizon is taking a far quieter approach with the release of this device. Pre-orders kicked off today, and it will officially go on sale tomorrow at Verizon locations all over the country. But, we managed to get some hands-on time with the device yesterday, which turned into an impromptu photoshoot (which was taken with the Droid X).

Motorola Droid 2 Walkthrough Video Shows What’s So Great About the New Droid
It's standard fare to see Verizon release a walkthrough video for one of their newly released devices. And obviously, despite the fact that the Droid 2 got a remarkably quiet/soft launch, that's not stopping Verizon from releasing a video where one man goes through the process of explaining all the great features of the new Droid device.

Adobe Shows Off Flash Player on the Motorola Droid 2 [Update]
We all know that the Motorola Droid 2 is launching on August 12th. Pre-orders start tomorrow, folks. And, we all know that Android 2.2 is coming pre-installed on the device, as it's one of the main selling points of the upgraded Droid model. And with Froyo, also comes Flash Player. While there's been a huge furor over whether or not it even works on the device, as many original Droid owners are having a heck of a time with their own upgrade to Froyo and utilizing the software, it looks like Adobe themselves wanted to calm folks down. So, here's a video.

Verizon's Motorola DROID 2 looks to be imminent, with the new QWERTY smartphone showing up in the carrier's 360-degree viewer.  The viewer update follows on from the handset being spotted in a Verizon InfoManager page, complete with full specifications, and devices already showing up in Best Buy stores. Best Buy have tipped the pricing, too, with the DROID 2 expected to come in at $199.99 with a new, two-year agreement.  Verizon are expected to officially announce the DROID 2 on August 12th. Motorola Droid 2 Selling for $199 at Best Buy, Units Begin Appearing in Verizon Inventory
August 12th, the Motorola Droid 2 is getting launched. That's this Thursday, for the record (and if you weren't around a calendar). With that being said, it looks like Best Buy have gone ahead and ruined the whole pricing story, too, and pointed out that the Droid 2 will be available there, for $199 on a new, two-year contract. That's excluding the mail-in rebate, that you'll have to pay at a Verizon corporate store.

Motorola Droid 2 Specs Leaked in Verizon InfoManager Screenshot
We would have put "again" in the title, but we're pretty sure that's been run to the ground by now. Maybe the phone itself has, too. That would be your call, not ours. Here's the Droid 2 leak of the week, this time coming from an internal Verizon InfoManager page. As you can see, and as the title suggests, it's the normal "specifications" sheet that we're all so accustomed to.

Motorola Droid 2 Accessories Start Showing Up
At this point, this just needs to be said: this is Verizon's launch for the Droid 2. Yes, we're going to pull some standard Apple fare into this, and just come right out and say that the wireless carrier's "quiet" launch of the Droid 2 hasn't actually been quiet at all. At this point, they don't even need to announce the device. We've already got our release date. We've already got plenty of images and video of the Droid 2, and we already know its specifications. What else would Verizon even need to do?

Motorola Droid 2 Confirmed for August 12th, Sources Say
When it comes to a leak, the best way to get your information is right from the source. And, thanks to some informants within Best Buy, it looks like we've got another flag for the release date of the Motorola Droid 2. You know the one -- it keeps getting leaked all over the place. And, we'll go ahead and say that, while we knew the launch of the Droid 2 was going to be "quiet," considering we're only six days away from its supposed release into the world, it's way too quiet.
