Motorola Droid X also gets the Official 2.3.3 Gingerbread leak
What do we have here? I just got done mentioning that the Droid 2 got a 2.3 Gingerbread leak, and before I could finish the story I got word about some other even more exciting news. The Motorola Droid X is getting a very similar, if not the same leak. I'm assuming this will be bigger as more people have the Droid X. It is a sweet phone. Anyways lets skip the fun and get right to it.

MOTOBLUR 3.0 for DROID 2 gets unofficial release
MOTOBLUR 3.0 has now sprouted an unofficial release for the Motorola DROID 2, after showing up on the DROID 2 Global and DROID Pro. The handiwork of MyDroidWorld, the Motorola Build Blur (3.0.0) System 2.2 has been deodexed, busyboxed, and given root privileges. Motorola is yet to announce when - or if - the DROID 2 will get an official MOTOBLUR update, so for now this is probably the best way to enjoy the new UI. [gallery] [via IntoMobile]

“Exploding” DROID 2 more likely damaged after a drop tips Motorola insider
Reports of a Motorola DROID 2 allegedly exploding and injuring a users's ear may not be all they seem, with an internal Motorola source suggesting that the damage may in fact have been caused by dropping the handset. According to Gearlog's source at the manufacturer, "the guy didn't notice the glass had cracked [...] so when he put it to his ear, he cut himself." The employee went on to suggest that "the only things that could explode in a phone would have resulted in a phone that did not work, yet this phone worked. And there was no explosive damage to the device (things inside blown outward, etc)." Motorola is promising to investigate things further - including the "loud pop" that Aron Embry claimed alerted him to the problem.

Motorola Droid 2 Reportedly Explodes, Injures Man
All this talk over the years, about whether or not cellphones are a danger to the humans that use them, usually never included phones that explode. For one man, who lives in North Texas, it would seem that he's learned the hard way that our favorite gadgets can turn deadly in the blink of an eye. That's probably more dramatic than it needs to be, but there's quite a bit of blood on that Motorola Droid 2, which reportedly exploded right next to the man's ear.

Robotic Snowman Shows Off the Droid 2 and Droid X for Verizon [Video]
You're probably well aware of this, but we're just about ready to kick off the holiday shopping season. With that in mind, this new commercial, which is airing now on television, shouldn't be all that terrifying anymore. But, if you've got a natural fear of snowmen coming to life, you might want to shy away from this video, which is embedded after the break.

Motorola Droid 2 for Verizon Drops to $149
If you were interested in picking up the Motorola Droid 2, with its full physical QWERTY keyboard and Android 2.2-goodness, but weren't sure if the price was worth it at launch, then it looks like your patience has finally paid off.
