T-Mobile USA has announced that it will be rolling out WiFi calling to select models in its line-up of Android smartphones "in the coming months," allowing the handsets to route voice calls over WiFi rather than cellular networks.  The T-Mobile myTouch, Motorola DEFY and other devices will be able to make calls and send SMS messages via WiFi, using Kineto’s Smart Wi-Fi Application. The exact list of handsets that will support the app is unknown, as is the timescale for its availability.  Still, it'll be preloaded on the myTouch and DEFY, which are due before the end of the year and in time for the holidays respectively.
